    Taliban Leader Calls for U.S. Troop Withdrawal, Start of Negotiations

    Taliban leader Mullah Haibatullah Akhunzada issued a statement calling for the withdrawal of U.S. troops and other occupying forces from Afghanistan and reiterated calls for the United States to initiate negotiations to draw down the war, Reuters reported June 13.
