If you are correct then we are doing a great job of wasting their resources, I think the number is higher though, not EVERYONE who disagrees with me is a troll and there are more good members who don't post often than you might think.

No, but he became a threat in late 2007. This November 2007 article reads Ron Paul Sets Online Fundraising Record with $4.2 Million in One Day. If you peruse articles at that time, you can see some people were definitely scared of him.

That fear carried over into 2012. This guy writes a book Ron Paul, America's Most Dangerous Nazi. Another article reads Ron Paul excluded from Republican Jewish Coalition forum. A Hareetz article said Ron Paul is not anti-Semitic but is anti-Israel, Former Aide Says.

There's a whole bunch of stuff like this out there. I think we sometimes get insulated in RPF. Some of us don't see these criticisms, and we're totally incredulous when we do see them.

I think it really explains the incredulity some have here regarding trolls. I couldn't believe that someone would actually pay people to try to thwart the site, but--over time--the evidence became overwhelmingly definitive.

You don't have to look at CFR to find this stuff. I happens right here on this site. There was a Florida member here back in 2007 who pretended he wanted to do Paullapalooza meet-ups.. He just made that up. He then started making these rabid pro-Israel posts, ranting at people here for being "anti-semites." He later admitted to me (publicly) he had a sock account doing the same thing. I'm guessing it was a program similar to the aforementioned Israel to pay students to defend it online.

If some people weren't so wrapped up here in their narcissistic opinions and actually read other peoples' posts, then it would be clear as a bell. Geez, it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out their dumb game. Duh.

I guess "favorable" is a matter of opinion. I saw the pieces as more neutral. One is a simple bio of Paul and the other is an interview.

By the way, both pieces are about Ron. Neither is about Rand.

The CFR does have a lot of influential people as members but they also don't have a single view.

I'd say that's also a matter of opinion. The CFR has a program called International Institutions and Global Governance Program. Their opening line is "Today’s most pressing challenges—ranging from combatting climate change to advancing global health—are transnational."

I'd say "climate change" is debatable as one of "Today's most pressing challenges." "Global health" is also an interesting term. I suppose we could drill down to look at the details; however, I think it's more telling (on a broader level) they they actually have a program called "global goverance" and not something like individual sovereignty.
