Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho) lost his state’s GOP primary for governor on Tuesday after giving up his seat in Congress to run.

Nope. He lost to the Lt Gov. That's always a hard candidate to beat, especially when the economy is good. And even though he's a rock star to us, I'll bet a lot of people outside of his district don't know much about him.

Good opportunity to replace Trump in 2020.

I don't get why so House reps want to run for Gov or Senate. A lot of the better reps have only been there since 2011.

What makes me mad is there will no mention of this on Lew Rockwell and Reason or the other libertarian sites. Raul Labrador basically has 90% of the same views as Ron Paul. There are like 5 people this good in politics. I would happily vote for Raul Labrador as the LP nominee.

I applaud @realDonaldTrump for recognizing that #Jerusalem is the capital of #Israel and beginning the process of moving the U.S. embassy there. Jerusalem has been, and always will be, the capital of the State of Israel.

Doctrine of 'Blessed are those who stand with Israel' seems to be failing lately despite temporary funding boosts.

I fear that the trend of flushing out Evangie Zionist supporters types will accelerate as media continues pushing such narratives:

The participation of pastors John Hagee and Robert Jeffress in the ceremony accentuated this new axis of fundamentalist, messianic End-Times-adoring elements that increasingly dominate ties between the two countries. Hagee once described Adolf Hitler as God’s hunter and Jeffress consigned unrepentant Jews to hell

If Dems made a clean sweep in midterms, they would probably bring in impeachment proceedings.
A lot would depend on 10 year treasury interest rates/debt relationship with China and propping up of China borrowed money tax cuts induced non-artificial economic boost.

Because both of those positions are advancements in their careers.

Some context on that bizarre race:

Here’s an oddity: Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Friday endorsed Bonners Ferry conservative blogger and author Michael Snyder for Idaho’s 1st Congressional District seat - even as Paul’s “Protect Freedom PAC” has just spent $100,000 on independent ads in favor of Rep. Raul Labrador’s bid for governor, and Labrador has endorsed a different candidate in that race - former Idaho GOP state Sen. Russ Fulcher of Meridian.
Last Monday, Snyder went on the bombastic Alex Jones’ “Infowars” program and said that if he’s elected, “I’m going to be the most hated member of Congress in all of Washington, D.C. … I’ll go right to the floor of the House of Representatives, I’ll start ranting like Alex Jones - you guys know me, right from the floor of the House of Representatives. So if you want to see that, we have this opportunity to defeat the globalists one seat at a time.”

"There was madness in any direction, at any hour. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning.

And that I think, was the handle. That sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave." ~ HST
