Sadr warns Iraq's new prime minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi of uprising in one year if no political reform

    Adil Abdul-Mahdi

Abdul-Mahdi now has 30 days in which to draw up a new cabinet, which must then be presented to parliament for approval.
“Either promised reforms will be carried out gradually or the people will rise up,” al-Sadr warned, referring to ongoing protests in Iraq’s Shia-majority southern and central provinces.

Sadr instructed his parliamentary bloc's members not to be in the coming new government, in order to give more options for Adel Abdul Mahdi to form his government.
Sadr expressed in his tweet his satisfaction in naming Abdul Mahdi who is an independent figure and clean from government corruption, as he said.
He called on all political parties not to put pressure on the options of Abdul Mahdi, so that he can form a cabinet free from party quotas - sectarian and ethnic - while maintaining the diversity of the Iraqi society.
The Shiite leader gave the government of Abdul Mahdi a full year to prove itself in front of the Iraqi people.

I would guess that he thinks it can't be done in 1 year.

A senior Iraqi politician says the Iraqi parliament will discuss the withdrawal of US forces from the country amid rising unease at Washington’s meddling in Baghdad’s internal affairs.
MP Ahmad al-Assadi, the leader of the Iraqi Construction Alliance, said the lawmakers will step up their demand that the Iraqi government force US troops to leave the country, Arabic-language Arabi21 online newspaper reported.
Calls for the withdrawal of US troops began during the last legislature, but lawmakers are now seeking a “clear timetable” for a pullout, he said.

    Al-Assadi said,
“After the big victory against these gangs [Daesh], the Iraqi government has the right to review the need for American forces on Iraqi soil.”
He said the push for the withdrawal of US forces will double once the new parliament is sworn in, where lawmakers will allow the presence of foreign military advisers and trainers based on the requirements specified by state authorities.

Iraq's parliament passed its 2019 budget on Jan. 24 after weeks of political impasse, Reuters reported. However, the lawmaking body did not move forward with a planned vote on three remaining Cabinet members who are awaiting confirmation.

The long delay in passing a budget and the failure to confirm further Cabinet members indicates internal divisions in Iraq's parliament.
