It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

We will get another chance before all is said and done.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles." óJeff Cooper

Yeah. Because nothing says freedom like a constitution free zone in the border region around the U.S. that's so big that it takes in some entire states couple with TSA face scanning cameras designed to catch people as they attempt to leave the U.S. as opposed to trying to keep them from coming in.

Was the original question rhetorical, or did I miss it and John's answer?

I liked the part where John talks about discovering libertarianism and being so excited to share it on tv, and assuming everyone else who watched his show would similarly see the light, only to be as disappointed as I think we all have been since the r3volution started (and for many here, even before).

I've had in depth discussions with fellow conservatives who just consider constitutional libertarianism to be just too pollyanna -ish of a position to hold. They're content to nibble around the edges of restraining government, which of course is no restraint at all. And they're convinced that America's military withdrawal from the world would lead to an immediate totalitarian takeover and a massive American depression. They cannot conceive of how a libertarian infusion would lead to greater security and expansion of America on all fronts.

To me, that's our challenge. How to paint the picture of how much better off we, and the rest of the world, could all be if, for instance, all of Rand's bills had been passed.

    Anyone painted that picture yet?
The bigger government gets, the smaller I wish it was.

Congratulations on actually watching it before commenting. Ron does ask the question around the 1:40 mark. Stossel says the libertarian movement is in the doldrums.

If Stossel can't wake his wife up on libertarian ideas, after 35 years of marriage (@ 3:00), what does that say to the population at large that doesn't have a spouse trying to wake them up? (I have half woken my wife, but still not completely)

And even Stossel got bamboozled by Bolton???

The Libertarian movement is like a bowel movement... it has been ejected and is about to be flushed... 46% of people want bernie's government guaranteed job program... we are SOOOO $#@!ed... unless someone can dazzle the idiots....
Once you go Paul, you see through them all.

Of course, it had nothing to do with so called libertarians willing to submit to a massive increase in the police state instead of insisting on shrinking it.

The Alliance for a Strong America - Neocon Revival

IMO, this was the official announcement of the neocon revival, Liz and Dick Cheney, Jun 17, 2014 -
The Alliance for a Strong America

It's been all downhill since then. Dick & Liz Cheney killed libertarianism.

We know that American security, peace, and freedom depend upon reversing the dangerous policies of the Obama Administration. We also know that America's armed forces are the greatest fighting force and the greatest force for good the world has ever known. The Alliance for a Strong America will advocate for the policies necessary to protect the nation, and ensure that these issues are part of our national discussion in the coming years and beyond.

Doldrums may be an understatement . Consider 6 in 10 americans work , three of those pay more tax than they receive and 5 or 6 of those 10 are openly , unashamed communists and socialists .

    Um, John Stossel for President?

    Maybe?

It's in the doldrums. It would be helpful if the LP actually nominated a libertarian.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Origanalist again.
