Controversial Israeli minister and 'racist' Lieberman arrives in D.C. to take on Iran Deal

Minister of our closest ally in the world and only NRD democracy in mideast and a darling of extreme wing of zionism is in US to talk Iran nuke deal while all the MSM news focus is on French Prez visit. He had also been labeled 'racist' by liberal anti-occupation Israeli groups.

Be interestuing to see how ZOA/Jarvanka/John Bolton respond to this visit:

Lieberman, commander of Gaza snipers, arrives in D.C. to take on Iran Deal

Everyone is talking about Emmanuel Macron at the White House, come to save the Iran deal: the Trumps gave a state dinner for the French president last night, amid news footage of bromance and French hats and other pageantry.
Well: someone else is in the picture! Reports the New York Times‘s Peter Baker and Julie Hirschfeld Davis:
For their part, Israeli officials moved to shape Mr. Trump’s thinking as well. Avigdor Liberman, the Israeli defense minister, said he planned to leave for the United States on Tuesday night so that he could meet with Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and John R. Bolton, the president’s new national security adviser and a longtime opponent of the Iran nuclear agreement. The meetings, he said on Twitter, were to discuss “Iran’s expansion in the Middle East and Syria.”
According to Jewish Insider, Lieberman arrived in Newark this morning, was welcomed by a rabbi, and hopped on the train for Washington. He and Bolton and Trump will have much to talk about, as they “shape Mr. Trump’s thinking.”
As Defense Minister, Lieberman has been the chief justifier of the Gaza snipers, which have now killed more than 40 Gazans.

To be fair, he might not be as nuttier as some of domestic members of exreme wing of zionism have been when it comes to defense of our closest ally from Iran threat. Or may be he is very similar.

Publisher of the ‘Atlanta Jewish Times’ suggests Mossad should assassinate Obama
Adam Horowitz on January 20, 2012

John Cook reports at Gawker: Andrew Adler, the owner and publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times, a weekly newspaper serving Atlanta’s Jewish community, devoted his January 13, 2012 column to the thorny problem of the U.S. and Israel’s diverging views on the threat posed by Iran. Basically Israel has three options, he wrote: Strike Hezbollah and Hamas, strike Iran, or “order a hit” on Barack Obama. Either way, problem solved!
Here’s how Adler laid out “option three” in his list of scenarios facing Israeli president Benjamin Netanyahu (the column, which was forwarded to us by a tipster, isn’t online, but you can read a copy here):

Three, give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place, and forcefully dictate that the United States’ policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies.
Yes, you read “three” correctly. Order a hit on a president in order to preserve Israel’s existence. Think about it. If I have thought of this Tom Clancy-type scenario, don’t you think that this almost unfathomable idea has been discussed in Israel’s most inner circles?
Another way of putting “three” in perspective goes something like this: How far would you go to save a nation comprised of seven million lives…Jews, Christians and Arabs alike?
You have got to believe, like I do, that all options are on the table.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday dismissed Donald Trump as unqualified to deal with important international issues amid U.S. threats to potentially walk away from the landmark nuclear deal with Tehran.
Rouhani spoke on state TV after French leader Emmanuel Macron flew to Washington to meet with the U.S. president. Among Macron's aims was convincing Trump to stick with the 2015 pact, which saw Iran sharply curtail its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
Rouhani, a reforming cleric, unleashed a series of insults during his speech.

"You don't have any background in politics," Reuters quoted him saying in comments directed at Trump. "You don't have any background in law. You don't have any background on international treaties."
Rouhani added: "How can a tradesman, a merchant, a building constructor, a tower constructor make judgments about international affairs?"

Leaders in both countries have engaged in an escalating war of words over the Obama-era nuclear accord, which Trump has derided as a "terrible deal."
On Tuesday, Trump said it was "insane" and "ridiculous" that the agreement between Iran and the U.S., China, Russia, France, U.K., Germany and the European Union did not cover Tehran's possession of ballistic missiles or its destabilizing actions in places like Yemen or Syria.

    • Pompeo to visit Israel, meet Netanyahu next week

    • What happens if Trump pulls out of the Iran nuclear deal?

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman visited the White House on Thursday and met with U.S. President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, John Bolton, and with Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and a senior adviser to the president.
The meeting with Kushner was also attended by Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt. The meetings dealt with the situation in Syria, Iran and Lebanon, a statement said.
“I’m glad that the Americans and us see eye to eye when it comes to the Middle East and [I] thank the administration for its support of Israel,” Lieberman said in a statement following the meetings. “
Later Thursday, Lieberman met with Defense Secretary James Mattis and the U.S. army chief of staff at the Pentagon and discussed, among other things, Iran's attempts to establish its presence in Syria.
