Viktor Orban Wins Hungary Elections In Landslide Victory

In the latest embarrassment for Europe's establishment, the ostracized - by Brussels - Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán, who has waged a relentless vendetta against George Soros in the past year, just won a landslide victory in Hunary's parliamentary elections.
Earlier on Sunday, 8 million Hungarians went to the polls to elect a 199-seat parliament in the 2018 general elections, which many expected would see the incumbent Prime Minister Viktor Orbán- and his right-wing Fidesz party - win his third consecutive term. And, as covered here on numerous prior occasions, Orban's campaign had been centered around anti-immigration policies, an especially sensitive topic not only in Hungary and Central Europe, but across the old continent.
His main competitors are Gergely Karacsony, a candidate for the Socialist and Dialogue parties; and Gabor Vona of the far-right nationalist Jobbik party, or rather were because according to the Hungarian election office website, Prime Minister Orban’s ruling Fidesz party has won a sweeping, landslide victory according to preliminary results with 69% of the votes counted.

    • Fidesz with 49.5% of party-list votes, matching most pre-election opinion polls
    • Formerly far-right Jobbik second with 20% of list votes, Socialists at 11.9%
    • LMP and DK parties also poised to clear parliamentary threshold based on partial count

In other words, Orbán's Fidesz party has secured an absolute majority, and may even reach as much as a two-thirds majority of 133 seats, enough to pursue a constitutional amendment, making life for George Soros in Hungary even more unbearable.

With 98.5 percent of the votes counted, Fidesz and its small ally, the Christian Democrat party, together had secured 133 of the 199 seats in parliament, the minimum needed for a two-thirds majority.

The right-wing nationalist Jobbik party placed second with 26 seats, while a Socialist-led, left-wing coalition came in third with 20 seats.

Hungary deals another blow to liberalism, with Fidesz and Jobbik winning 70% of vote.
Long past time that leaders who still care about liberalism (Merkel, Macron, Tusk) let their voices be heard, take action and impose real costs.

Essentially, globalists call to take actions against democracy. Alarming.

The EU's days are numbered, there will be war among the member states in a few years if not sooner, at the end of the war the EU will be gone or it will be changed into a victorious empire with absolute control of it's subject regions.

Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters marched Saturday in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, demanding a new election and a new national electoral system in the biggest opposition rally in years.Prime Minister Viktor Orban was re-elected for a fourth term last week. His right-wing populist Fidesz party won a supermajority in the national assembly, with preliminary results showing that Fidesz and tiny ally the Christian Democratic party won 134 seats in the 199-seat legislature.
Opposition supporters are upset that Hungary's electoral rules have given Orban's party such a large majority in Parliament when it only won around 50 percent of the vote.
While the left-wing opposition parties won 12 of 18 seats at stake in Budapest districts, Fidesz won 85 of 88 seats outside the capital. The other 93 seats were allocated based on votes for party lists.
Protesters marched from the Opera to Parliament, shouting "New elections!" ''We are the majority!" ''Vik-tator!" and "Filthy Fidesz!"
The size of the crowd, overflowing from the city's Kossuth Square outside the striking neo-Gothic Parliament, rivalled the pro-government "Peace March" held on March 15. Organizers said another anti-government protest would be held next weekend.
"We want new and fair elections," opposition activist Gergely Gulyas told the huge crowd. "This is the responsibility of the government and we're going to remind them of this, peacefully and massively."

A fragmented opposition, a complex electoral system that disproportionately favors the biggest party and Orban's decision to greatly facilitate citizenship for Hungarians living in neighboring countries like Romania and Serbia all contributed to his large win on April 8.
Over 96 percent of voters in those bordering countries — including areas that Hungary lost after World War I — backed Orban's Fidesz party.
