Gaddafi's Son to Officially Run for Libyan Presidency

Gaddafi's son officially runs for presidency in Libya...

Years of attempts to remove Gaddafi,
Billions in support for building local AQ jihadists,
Billions in the military campaign and aftermath,
Triggered the continuous African immigrant influx to Europe...

    Jailed. Freed...
Now Gaddafi Jr. will likely lead the country anyway.
Another significant failure of bumbling idiots on their mad rush for the global hegemony.

    ===============

    Hassan Ridha
The campaign spokesperson, Ayman Bouras, says Saif al-Islam is a free man & has not left Libya. He will address Libyan people in a few days.

During press conference, Bouras announced Saif's reform programme
    to fight partition,
    fight terrorism
    & launch national reconciliation mechanisms.

    and btw...

It's now 7 years since the NATO war against Libya...
Today is the 15th year anniversary of the 'Coalition' aggression against Iraq ...

Just to Note: 7 countries in 5 years is taking three times too long now.

This is probably the best possible thing for Libya. Maybe there is hope again for that country. From what I know about him (admittedly not much), he is well educated, non-ideological, not particularly religious and has no criminal history.

Would be awesome, should he win, to see him reintroduce the gold backed currency and water works plans his father started.

It would be like patricide not to.

Just unifying and rebuilding the country will take years. It's positive that he is supported by the faction in Benghazi since he must already have support in Tripoli. I can't imagine why he would not continue the water project and as for the gold dinar, he has a PhD from the London School of Economics, which probably means he knows who not to piss off

Saudi owned Al Arabiya is like the CNN of the ME... spinsters.

Already they are teaming up with the Atlanticists to USE Saif and recruit his popular support
towards the UN installed GNA 'government' in Tripoli
and AWAY from General Haftar and his competing Parliament in Tobruk.

    for example
Haftar denies making insulting remarks against Saif al-Islam
    https://english.alarabiya.net/en/New...l-Qaddafi.html

It's all about the oil. (as usual). Egypt and Russia back Haftar.
Saif is going to have his work cut out for him
to create anything that remotely resembles a 'sovereign' Libya.
    Good luck. (I mean that.)

Here's some background... (things have changed since then.)

Saif Gaddafi may run for Libya’s presidency to ‘save’ country 7 years after father’s murder
    https://www.rt.com/news/421764-gadda...idential-race/

The second son of the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges of crimes against humanity,
is seeking to run in the country's presidential election, which is set to be held sometime before the end of this year.
The 45-year-old, currently hiding in Tunisia, launched his presidential campaign as a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Libya (PFLL) on Monday.

Gaddafi’s candidacy will be officially registered at the opening of registration lists in the elections, the spokesman said, noting that the self-exiled man plans to “save Libya” and “establish peace and stability” in the war-torn country.
He added that Gaddafi’s reform program includes a comprehensive political, security and social vision for the future of a “modern and open” Libya.

The spokesman vowed that Gaddafi Jr. will directly address Libyans in the coming days to announce his electoral plans and his vision of rebuilding the state.

Libya descended into chaos after the fall of Muammar Gaddafi, with multiple governments competing for control of the oil-rich country.
Currently, the north African country is divided between the Tobruk-based parliament and the UN-backed government in Tripoli.
The power vacuum in the country, which emerged after the disastrous NATO-led military intervention in 2011,
has also been exploited by militants and terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda and Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL) offshoots.

Gaddafi now “proposes the restoration of the national state with full sovereignty,” Abu Ras said, noting that the PFLL platform advocates the “elimination of terrorism in all its forms.”

In July 2015, Gaddafi Jr. was sentenced to death by Tripoli in absentia for war crimes.
However, Zintan authorities refused to implement his sentence, ultimately releasing their prisoner after six years of captivity.

While the Tobruk-based government granted Gaddafi Jr. full amnesty in June 2017,
the 45-year-old still has a standing ICC arrest warrant over crimes against humanity allegedly committed during the 2011 Arab Spring protests.
The whereabouts of Gaddafi’s son have been uncertain since he was released by militiamen. He is presumably taking refuge in neighboring Tunisia.

The charges are likely bs. They can be filed next to the charges that Iran is the greatest state sponsor of terrorism and that Assad uses chemical weapons on civilians.

Please no more of these “news” stories (I can hardly keep up, just reading them)...

The son of Colonel Gaddafi, Seif Gaddafi, has been in business with Nathaniel “Nat” Rothschild, who once dated Ivanka Trump and the son of "Baron" Jacob Rothschild, and Oleg Deripaska in the £500 million Porto Montenegro project.

In 2008, Seif Gaddafi was invited by Nat Rothschild for a party held in New York.
In 2009, Seif Gaddafi visited the Rotschild estate in Corfu for a meeting with Lord Mandelson: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...r-1776482.html
