Thread: Trump to push raising age limit to buy firearms

I doubt Trump will lose his reelection over this. People will still prefer him over whoever the democrats throw at him.

My best guess is that Trump triangulates in many ways here knowing full well that the NRA was about to get involved.

You obviously haven't run the electoral math in Florida.

And his books? He triangulated his position knowing that what he advocated for years would eventually be overturned by the courts?

Do you see where some might have doubts with your predictions?

Why is it not more likely that the position many books presented under his name are not his true beliefs?

He signed into law that Fix NICS Act too which nobody ever mentions.

And then he expressed support for H.R.8 - Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019 and said " And I think we can bring up background checks like we’ve never had before. I think both Republican and Democrat are getting close to a bill on — they’re doing something on background checks.”

I wonder what he'll do this term since he won't have to deal with running again.

More hot air to take the wind out of the gun control sails after the LV shooting.
He never tried nor will he.
And the judges and SCOTUS justices he gave us will strike down the 21 requirement for handguns.

Hard to be reassured that he will never try again, when that's part of a sentence containing a lie about whether he ever tried in the first place.

That's the point, he never tried.
He said some hot air to shut down the media push for gun control and then never did a single thing to try to raise the age.
He also gave us judges and SCOTUS Justices who will put an end to the current Unconstitutional age limits on pistols.

Uh he gave support to red flag laws, and actually did violate the 2nd Amendment when he banned bump stocks. Trump simply cannot be trusted on the right to keep and bear arms. It's really just that simple.

He most certainly could be better, that’s for sure. That’s one of the reasons I have said he wouldn’t know the Constitution if it hit him up side of the head. One good thing in our court is that his eldest son is a hunter and is a trusted advisor.

He certainly is no Ron Paul.

But, compared to Kamala who has clearly stated she will confiscate all Americans’ guns within the first 100 days, he looks one hell of a lot better.

Yeah, right, republicans will let that happen under her. With Trump they give 'scuses and will "give him another chance", but just remember that it was Obama who sold more guns than anybody - not Trump.

And results. It wasn't, "I know Bush is pro-abortion but I'm voting for him anyway to send a message" that ended it. It took another twenty years to climb out of that hole.

Principle can get results, but the two party system makes it ridiculously difficult.

Republicans usually fight gun control when a Democrat is President. But they don't usually fight it when it's a Republican pushing it. That's the fundamental problem.

Put another way, Republicans won't give Kamela an inch but will give Trump a pass.... as evidenced by the non-thinkers in this thread. Tribalism.

Buy more guns, of course, and do your best to elect the one who won’t grab ‘em.

I am pretty sure he was referring to black people
