What do you think of sometimes using the words "statutory code" in place of the word "law?"

I think words are important. I make a distinction between the separated words law and order versus the phrase "law and order." I often think of law as natural law. This is opposed to man-made statutes which are often nothing but order.

How often do you hear some petty person attempt to admonish another person who is just minding his own business? The petty person will haughtily declare, "Well, that's not what the law says!"

Would it be more useful to use other terms? Instead of saying "The law says...," you might say, "Statutory code says..." Or, you might say, "Legal code says..."

Law is subject to interpretation. Statutory code sounds like something engraved in stone.

There are Gods law , Mans Law , city , state , federal ..... I just need to know who it is I will be offending when I choose not to abide........

Something needs to be used in place of law . When I hear law my first thought is whose law ? Probably not mine .

I have been making a conscience effort when out and about to clarify and differentiate law (natural) and what strangers enact as ordinances (extortion).

If one travels 5mph over a posted sign limit, causing no harm, it is merely an ordinance written by a stranger I don't even know.

If one neglects to "license" a pet (how can a life-form even be "licensed?), it is merely an ordinance written by a stranger who collects extortion money to line his/her own pocket.

If I own property and decide to burn in my back yard, I understand that if smoke enters and damages my neighbors property that I should be held responsible. Extortion to a stranger (ordinance) to purchase a "license" to burn in my back yard (property rights) makes no sense at all, certainly when specific days of the week are listed and "approved" regardless of weather patterns on a given day.

If I am not shunned I then proceed to explain that ordinances (or whatever they choose to call them) are not law, and talk about Non-Aggression Principle, which IMO is the only law (natural) which has no political/country boundaries.
