    Serpents and Doves

For those of you interested in the study of strategy, Serpents and Doves by James Loriega is a worthwhile read. He draws parallels between the strategic thinking of shinobijutsu (what Hollywood calls "ninjutsu") and the writings of Baltasar Gracian, a 17th century Jesuit philosopher. Gracian was an astute observer of human relations, as the opening line of his 13th Aphorism demonstrates:

Man's life is a warfare against the malice of men.
