I don't really care all that much. I hate the shrines. I am actually kind of amused because this almost mocks them. ( I would have paid handsomely to be a fly on the wall when Trump saw it.)
But the painting itself isn't right. The chair....the other arm should be where his butt cheek is. And there was some kerfluffle about whether or not it's even a real portrait. Apparently some of the leaf patterns repeat, which leads artisty people to speculate that it was done with photoshop, a projector and a paint-by-number technique.
No, it's not, the leaf patterns and butt cheek as you mentioned, then the sperm cell on his forehead, the "extra" finger...the whole thing is weird and surreal.
The more times I hear indignant "inappropriate!" shouts though - the more it grows on me.
