Theres lots of people that got hurt by our nuke testing in NM, Vegas definitely kept the radiation contained.
On August 5, 1963, representatives of the United States, Soviet Union and Great Britain signed the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, which prohibited the testing of nuclear weapons in outer space, underwater or in the atmosphere.
Japanese broadcaster issues false North Korea ballistic missile alarm urging people to take shelter just three days after alert caused panic across HawaiiA Japanese broadcaster has issued a false North Korea ballistic missile alarm just days after a phone alert warning of a possible strike caused panic across Hawaii.
The NHK network sent out the warning urging people to take shelter on its internet and mobile news sites as well as on Twitter today but apologised and corrected the error within minutes.
It was not immediately clear what caused the false alarm which comes amid heightened tensions between Tokyo and Pyongyang.
Last year, Kim Jong-un's regime fired a test missile over the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, where thousands were awoken by air-raid sirens.
Today's false television alert comes just three days after a blunder caused more than a million people in Hawaii to fear that they were about to be struck by a nuclear missile.
The government class is a protected privileged class. Can you imagine if a private citizen accidentally sent a message to say a hospital or school that there was a bomb there about to go off, and they freaked and evacuated the building, and then the citizen waited nearly 40 minutes to tell them it was a mistake. What would happen to that citizen? Would the government say, oh just a mistake, and protect their identity? They'd be seeking long time prison terms.
Yet, when a member of the elite government class commits the largest bomb scare ever, not only no charges, but no punishment and protects that person, and the complicit superiors that authorized and approved the system that made such a mistake so easy and thus likely.

The blast caused a magnitude 2.0 earthquake and likely scattered small hunks of space rock in the region
JANUARY 17, 2018
On Tuesday night, the sky over southeast Michigan lit up with a dazzling flash, a loud boom resounded and the ground trembled. Some locals wondered whether the region had been hit by a freak lightning strike, a bomb or even a UFO. But as Lindsey Bever of the Washington Post reports, it was soon determined that the cause of the mysterious flash was a rare astronomical phenomenon: a meteor exploding in Earth’s atmosphere with a fiery blast.
“[T]his was a very slow moving meteor — speed of about 28,000 miles per hour,” NASA’s Meteor Watch writes on its Facebook page. “This fact, combined with the brightness of the meteor (which suggests a fairly big space rock at least a yard across), shows that the object penetrated deep into the atmosphere before it broke apart (which produced the sounds heard by many observers).”
The United States Geological Survey confirmed that a meteor had fallen and reported that the blast had caused a magnitude 2.0 earthquake centered about 5 miles from New Haven, Michigan according to Karma Allen of ABC News. But the brilliant fireball was observed across six states and in Canada.
Meteors are “bits of interplanetary material” that penetrate the Earth’s atmosphere and are heated to incandescence by friction, as NASA explains. (The objects are called “meteoroids” as they fly through space, becoming meteors only as they burn up in the sky.) Meteors enter the atmosphere at least once a month, Bill Cooke, lead for NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama, tells Bever. But he notes that it is “very rare” for the objects to produce a fireball that is observed by so many people. Most often, bright-burning meteors either break up over sparsely populated areas, are masked by the sun or fall late at night when most people are asleep.
Those lucky enough to observe the unusual event were suitably awed. “All of the sudden, the whole yard started getting brighter, kind of yellowish-orange, like a flashbulb, then got black,” Michigan resident Mike Tarkowski tells Mark Hicks of the Detroit News. “It was something big and it was something up in the air.”
The American Meteor Society says it received more than 355 reports about the fireball. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the “Michigan Meteor” now has its own Twitter account.
The NASA Meteor Watch notes in its Facebook post that the explosion likely produced meteorites—chunks of interplanetary rock and metal that survive the atmospheric plunge and fall to the ground.
“Pieces of an asteroid lying near Detroit?” the group writes. “Let’s see what the meteorite hunters find.”
The "False Alarm"
The “false alarm” delivered to a population of 1.5 million in the US Pacific island state of Hawaii on Saturday morning has laid bare the clear and present danger of a nuclear war. …
The fact that this event is so rapidly disappearing from the front pages of major newspapers and is being reduced to a secondary story by television news is itself a disturbing indication of how much more is involved in the Hawaii ballistic missile warning than the public is being told.
The corporate media, working in tight coordination with the US government, is in full containment mode. Monday night, all three US television networks broadcast virtually identical reports … the official story that the chaos was caused by the inadvertent error of a single employee. …
The event and its implications are being minimized. No one is going to conduct an investigation and present findings to the public. There will be no televised public hearings before the US Congress.
The explanation being put out by the state and federal authorities, and parroted by the media, fobs off the nuclear war alert as a mere accident triggered by a single careless worker … The unnamed individual supposedly selected the wrong computer menu option … There is no reason that anyone should blindly accept this official story as true. Given the record of the US government in staging provocations and launching wars based upon lies …
How could such an accident happen? .. a major public event is shrouded in secrecy. Why has the individual allegedly responsible for the “accident” not been named? … At the very least, the single individual who is being blamed for the colossal error should have the right to tell his or her side of the story. … that does not explain why it took a full, excruciating 38 minutes for the authorities to send out a follow-up message announcing that the warning had been a “false alarm.”
Even if one were to accept the authorities’ version of events … such an “accident” constitutes a devastating indictment of the criminal indifference of the US ruling establishment toward the lives and safety of the American people. The existence of such a ramshackle system, employing absurdly primitive software and technology as the supposed first line of defense. …
The significance of Saturday’s nuclear war alert becomes clear only within the context of the advanced state of preparations for a US war of aggression against nuclear-armed North Korea.
Monday in a front-page article published by the New York Times. Absurdly, the piece begins, “Across the military, officers and troops are preparing for a war they hope will not come.” Yet the substance of the article makes clear that what is being prepared is not a defense against a North Korean attack, but rather the invasion and conquest of the East Asian country. …
for the first time in years, more than 1,000 US Army reservists have been called up for active duty to man “mobilization centers” used for the rapid movement of troops overseas. The preparations also include a plan to deploy large numbers of Special Operations troops to the Korean Peninsula under the cover of providing security for next month’s Winter Olympics.
these actions begin to resemble the run-up to the US war of aggression against Iraq in 2003 …
That the Times article appeared at all … makes it clear that the military preparations are of such a magnitude that they are becoming broadly known, requiring the “newspaper of record” to attempt to manage the news. …
Trump and his aides reportedly are toying with what has been termed a “bloody nose” attack …
Within this context, the “accidental” nuclear alert in Hawaii emerges as a necessary link in the chain of preparations for a catastrophic war. Was the “false alarm” itself one more military exercise? Were the people of Hawaii used as guinea pigs to test the public reaction …
There is no question that once the incoming missile alert was issued in Hawaii, the government and the military, not only in North Korea, but also in China and Russia, were compelled to make their own rapid estimates as to what it meant and how they should respond. The logical conclusion would be that Washington was staging a false pretext for all-out war. No doubt, military units were placed on alert, weapons were readied or moved and other preparations for possible nuclear conflict were carried out, all under the watchful eyes of US spy satellites, providing intelligence that could prove vital for a planned US invasion of North Korea. …

Rumor is the cabal fired a missile from a sub as a false flag to pressure Trump into war with Korea and also take out the Clintons and Huma who were there at the time as they have become great liabilities. Apparently it was shot down and the sub was sunk.
Of course this is all rumor and ‘conspiracy’... unless of course it is proven to be true.

U.S. Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii said on Thursday that state and local governments should be prevented from sending missile alerts like the errant one that roiled his state this month.
At a Senate Commerce Committee hearing Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) disclosed that the employee who sent the errant alert will not speak to investigators.
Schatz, a top Democrat on the committee, said at the hearing he was introducing legislation that would clarify that only the federal government could send nuclear alerts.
The Senate Commerce Committee is planning another hearing about the Hawaii alert, and a U.S. House of Representatives panel will also hold a hearing.

I’m not sure what is more unbelievable... that a person “accidentally hit a switch” which sent the emergency message in Hawaii, or that it was Russian bots which were inundating Twitter for the memo to be released...

I didn't see this live, but I caught the recap on the news.
...the news didn't start the story by saying it had been a false alarm.
So, for about 3 minutes, I was on the verge of breaking out the emergency whiskey.
Employee Who Sent False Hawaii Ballistic Missile Alert Has Been Fired
Following the publication of an FCC report on the Hawaii ballistic missile false alarm, the as-yet-unnamed employee has finally been fired. In the days after the epic mistake, the employee was transferred to another department where he wouldn't be near the emergency alert function. The employee's manager had been fired earlier when the employee was moved.
Reuters reported that the FCC blamed the incident on a series of errors, including confusing wording of the original message the employee received, as well as a miscommunication and a lack of supervision of the test drill by the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency.

And the story changes again. The most amazing thing that happens with every single one of these type of events is how multiple officials with straight faces and absolute certainty will tell the public and media whatever nonsense is first generated.
"There were no procedures in place to prevent a single person from mistakenly sending a missile alert" in Hawaii, said James Wiley, a cybersecurity and communications reliability staffer at the FCC. There was no requirement to double-check with a colleague or get a supervisor's approval, he said, according to the News Tribute
As the NT explains, citing the FCC statement, the employee heard a recorded message that began by saying "exercise, exercise, exercise" - the script for a drill. Then the recording used language that is typically used for a real threat, not a drill: "this is not a drill." The recording ended by saying "exercise, exercise, exercise."
The worker did not hear the "exercise, exercise, exercise" part of the message and believed the threat was real, according to the employee's statement. He responded by sending an alert.
Additionally, software at Hawaii's emergency agency used the same prompts for both test and actual alerts, and it generally used prepared text that made it easy for a staffer to click through the alerting process without focusing enough on the text of the warning that would be sent.

The top two civilian officials of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency have resigned in a personnel shakeup stemming from the false ballistic missile alert last month that stirred mass hysteria across the state, the agency’s military director said on Tuesday.

Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound.
At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors.
The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the Air Traffic controller committed suicide.
