Other dishonest jobs are high banking positions, like a local manager or loan officer. Not direct fraud but fraud because our monetary system is fraud in and of itself. Advertisers are manipulators. Telemarketers need to kill themselves, just like Bill Hicks says. So many in the medical industry have just become pill pushers for big pharma. And whats left, Walmart? Amazon? Other temp jobs?
I have a friend that owns a very successful construction company. He's ready to retire. Wants out. His house and properties are paid off. Kids have college covered. Retirement age and just wants to do specialty wood work out of his work "shed."
Offered to work a deal with one of his youngest (about 32 yrs. old) employees. Kid is amazing. I've worked with him before. He can work out any architect's $#@! up. Work a deal with him to take over the entire company. Lock, stock and barrel.
The kid turned him down. Said he didn't want to deal with the bull$#@!. I can respect that...but dayuuum. SMDH. Yoots. This kid is gonna kick himself in the ass one day.

I dunno, big difference between doing the work and running a company. They take different talents and the "kid" might be smart enough to realize that he couldn't do it or that running the company wouldn't be rewarding personally. just saying...

Like I said, I respect his decision. For whatever reason. I just wish I were in his place when I was 32 yrs. old is all I'm saying. It's not like my friend wouldn't have been a guiding hand. He does want his investment returned over time.

The CEO makes 25 million for the year. Give all that to the 2.2 million Walmart workers and they each get ~$11 for the year.

I was mocked the last time I brought up the closure of Walmarts as possible FEMA camp locations so I won't do it this time over Sam's Clubs.

You mean the people who start a company receive the largest portion of the revenues?

    The horror.

What if 50% of their wages weren't siphoned through predatory taxing schemes you goddamned Bolshevik. Might that help the plight of the poor?

You could almost respect him if he were an unabashed robber. At least he would be honest about his robberies. Zippy (and people today in general) are too much of pussies to commit their own robberies.

Actually , it kind of gives you a glimpse of a poorly run company . Instead of closing down profitable stores , if you want a dozen distribution warehouses , why not just lease a dozen empty buildings in those cities ? There is empty commercial property all over America that people are paying property tax and ins on and you could negotiate a terrific first lease on. In depressed areas you could also get the mayor to throw in some tax abatement just to bring in the jobs .

So there are two choices about the reasoning given, they lie about the numbers or they are stupid . Would not really want to make you purchase any stock....

Does a $1 pay raise to the least paid worker equate to a pay cut for everyone that doesn't receive an extra $1?

This is a really good idea. But let me tell you something, mayors in large cities are lining their pockets with payoffs because they want new construction that charges more and has a higher net worth on paper, so they pay more taxes. It's happening here. Mayor Barry is paving over every square inch of this town, to the detriment of the poor. Many, many property-owning poor people have been displaced because of her policies and the mayor before her. We are losing all sense of our history and way of life here.

The city council wants to outlaw or restrict short term rentals of private property (AirB&B), but they just gave permits to someone downtown who built a high rise condo he can't fill.

Agenda 21 in action.^^^^ Same stuff going on in a lot of cities.

Exactly. Zippy is too cowardly to do the stealing himself. He'd rather have a third party do it for him. And then congratulate himself for being "compassionate".

    funny

Sad part is so many people still believe voting works. Voting is just the Illusion of Choice.

One thing that you do know that is true is that practically every taco bender that sneaks across the border will soak up as much public resources as possible and vote progressive democrat when possible.
Producing delicious food and selling it at reasonable prices for mutual profit isn't a highly marketable skill? News to me.

And of course they vote Democrats. When one party is promoting the mass violation of your basic humanity by threatening to seize your property, throw you in a rape cage, and expel you form the community for your nonviolent crime of crossing an imaginary line and unowned property or just drone bomb you while you do so of course you're going to support the other party.

This is the problem with you Republicans, you're all Progressive nationalistic morons. Mexicans are family values oriented, very religious, socially conservative, and generally oppose abortion and gay marriage. There is no reason they shouldn't vote Republican except for the fact that you want to use expansive unconstitutional police state power to hunt them down and cage them like animals in violation of their basic rights and the free market. If you dropped your Progressive desire to regulate human movement and force your beliefs about culture and identity through brutal police state violence then Mexicans would be a boon for your party. But you're too stupid to realize this fact, along with your apparent inability to understand basic free market capitalism. Your Socialist ideals are a poison.

Funny coming from you since you want to take up arms and use them to take away the wealth in money and property of over 12 million people currently living in the US today.

Well, I take that back. You're probably too much of a pussy to to it yourself. So you'll probably vote for someone like the Cheeto in Chief to do it for you. As long as you can risk the lives of others to take away the property of others and redistribute that wealth -in the form of both property and employment- to those you deem worthy you're all for it, just like every other Progressive Socialist looking to create their anti-capitalist utopia.

Hispanics don't vote Republican for the same reason blacks don't. They are by and large Communists. It is not partially the reason. It is THE reason. 81% percent of Hispanic immigrants want larger government vs 41% of the general population. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank...or-government/

The simple solution is allow immigration and make it almost impossible to be able to vote. People should have to purchase citizenship. That cleans up the problem people voting themselves free stuff.

Republicans also vote for bigger government. They want bigger military and police. When you go issue by issue rather than a broad "big government", Hispanics are more conservative than the average American. They are more religious, more "family values", more likely to go to Church, more anti- abortion and anti- gay marriage.

Some 32% of Hispanics and 34% of all U.S. adults say their political views are “very conservative” or “conservative.”

    * Enforce Border Security – America should be guarding her own borders and enforcing her own laws instead of policing the world and implementing UN mandates.

    * No Amnesty - The Obama Administration’s endorsement of so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, will only encourage more law-breaking.

    * Abolish the Welfare State – Taxpayers cannot continue to pay the high costs to sustain this powerful incentive for illegal immigration. As Milton Friedman famously said, you can’t have open borders and a welfare state.

    * End Birthright Citizenship – As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be granted U.S. citizenship, we’ll never be able to control our immigration problem.
