Yes, I had to go all the way to the 14:35 mark to find Veritas's title claim. They made it the absolutely last thing in their video. Why do you suppose that is?

No one would argue that. The key question is "For what?"

I watched the first few minutes yesterday and they made it quite clear it was for differing opinions.

The secret has been out for a while...

"Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country, and giving it to the rich people of a poor country." - Ron Paul
"Beware the Military-Industrial-Financial-Pharma-Corporate-Internet-Media-Government Complex." - B4L update of General Dwight D. Eisenhower
"Debt is the drug, Wall St. Banksters are the dealers, and politicians are the addicts." - B4L
"Totally free immigration? I've never taken that position. I believe in national sovereignty." - Ron Paul

So right back to what the MSM does. Telling people what to think and shutting down anyone who doesnt express points of view they approve of.

None of this is breaking news. This is exactly what every internet company that doesn't charge for their service is doing. You are literally paying them by providing them your data. I have no idea why anyone would think their DMs were any more private or protected to the data collection & analysis than their public tweets. It's all just text in a database.

None of these concepts are familiar to the average user. They believe whatever they want to believe. A visual of hundreds of socially awkward geeks sifting through your data is a very powerful reminder.

I'm sort of on his side here. The shadow-banning is crap but that's not news. We already knew about that. The way I heard the explanations was that bias was certainly reflected in the decisions. That's humanity. Getting the bots involved will take bias out. Unless bias is programmed in.

Scott Adams was routinely shadow-banned during the campaign season, and he's not a hot head with a big mouth by any stretch.

You watched the video but still couldn't figure out that Twitter is censoring people based on political ideology.
"Let it not be said that we did nothing." - Dr. Ron Paul. "Stand up for what you believe in, even if you are standing alone." - Sophie Magdalena Scholl

Twitter's political speech control has been well documented for a while. It's nice to see it engineers admitting it on video.

    Examples

    Original:

    Twitter:

Twitter bans Roger Stone for calling CNN hosts "lying c@*#suckers"

Stone responds via Politico: "I have been inundated on Twitter with death threats, threats to kill my wife, my family, my children and even my dogs yet Twitter seems unconcerned with these bloggers."

Assange quickly points out Twitter's completely arbitrary standard

    Foul-mouthed Keith Olbermann complained
    :

But look at all the Twitter approved Olbermann foul-mouthed maledictions:
"Let it not be said that we did nothing." - Dr. Ron Paul. "Stand up for what you believe in, even if you are standing alone." - Sophie Magdalena Scholl
"War is the health of the State." - Randolph Bourne "Freedom is the answer. ... Now, what's the question?" - Ernie Hancock.

Mike Keen has good expose on how Twitter actively suppresses tweets based on content. Twitter through the selective content suppression is acting like a political advocacy group rather than a social media platform: https://medium.com/@mikekeen/twitter...s-a1f1d9a87cda

"... The (anti-Trump) tweet that I replied to was deleted once mine started outpacing it in number of favorites and retweets. ... once that tweet was deleted, mine stopped being interacted with. That’s because my tweet was no longer part of any “thread” in the conversation. ... I have continued to reply directly to the President ... However, I have found that while initially, for about the first minute or so, I get a flood of reactions and notifications. Favorites, retweets, etc, and then they abruptly stop, because my tweets are being manually removed from the main conversation thread. ... The above reply received 27 favorites within seconds of being posted, and then all activity on it stopped. When I click on it, I see that it is not part of any thread. When people view President Trump’s original tweet, mine will not be visible, no matter how far they scroll down. ... This tweet has been removed from the main thread and is not visible when people view President Trump’s original tweet.

Let’s compare that with what happens when we look at an anti-Trump reply. ... This tweet is still a part of the main thread, and is visible to people viewing President Trump’s original tweet Every single Tweet by President Trump has top comments that are 100% negative. Positive replies are simply not seen. Twitter is absolutely censoring Pro-Trump replies and Trump supporters from voicing their support of the President. ..."
