Under pressure, Trump team backs off proposal to cull foreign tech workforce (H-1B)

WASHINGTON Under intense pressure from the business and technology communities, the Trump administration appears to be backing away from a policy change that could have forced foreign tech workers out of the country.
    ...
“What we can say, however, is that USCIS is not considering a regulatory change that would force H-1B visa holders to leave the United States by changing our interpretation of section 104(c) of AC-21, which provides for H-1B extensions beyond the 6 year limit,” the agency told McClatchy

Bannon stepping down is good. He had clearly lost his mind and was poisoning the movement.

It depends on your political perspective. For Paleo-Conservatives and nationalists it is bad. Good for those that support globalism, open borders immigration, want more H-1B's, support GOP-E immigration reform such as amnesty and GOP-E Neocons having a greater voice in policy.

So yes, the "new" globalist Donald Trump appeared tonight. After several years literally saying 50+ times including in speeches, policy documentations and many tweets, "No Amnesty", we are getting amnesty and no matter what is in it he says he will sign it.

"Act of Love" ~Jeb! - Amnesty, comprehensive immigration reform

Cue, Joe Scarborough's Amnesty Don. A little bit of wall maybe, a whole lot of amnesty for sure.

At one point, Trump approved of Sen. Lindsey Graham’s call for Congress to support comprehensive immigration reform.
“If you want to take it that further step, I’ll take the heat,” Trump said. “You are not that far away from comprehensive immigration reform.”

When asked if he would support a DACA deal without wall funding, he replied, “You need it. … I’d love not to build the wall, but you need the wall.”

He clarified that he didn’t need a wall on the entire border, citing specific advice from border security agents.

“We don’t need a 2,000-mile wall where you have rivers and mountains, and everything else protecting, but we do need a wall for a fairly good portion,” Trump said.

I am just still trying to decide which one it is.

    1. He believes in amnesty, everything else was just a scam. He just played his base all along.
    2. He is in deep trouble, in trying to protect himself and his sons from prosecution he made a backroom deal with the establishment. This means he is selling out to them on every issue to avoid impeachment and prosecution.
    3. He has a personality disorder that requires an extreme need of approval. If that means selling out all his beliefs for GOP-E approval and the media that is what he will do.
