Trump: Steve Bannon "lost his mind"

No other president will be this entertaining.

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewir...n-book-excerpt

Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party.

Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isnít as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans. Steve doesnít represent my baseóheís only in it for himself.

Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.

We have many great Republican members of Congress and candidates who are very supportive of the Make America Great Again agenda. Like me, they love the United States of America and are helping to finally take our country back and build it up, rather than simply seeking to burn it all down.

New Book on Trump Reveals Competition Between Kushner and Bannon on Israel Policy

Author details how Trump giving Kushner responsibility over Israeli-Palestinian negotiations immediately created tension between the president's son-in-law and Bannon
    Amir Tibon Jan 06, 2018

A new book chronicling U.S. President Donald Trump's rise to power and first year in office presents Israel as a major point of contention between two of the president's closest advisors – Jared Kushner and Steve Bannon. Details regarding the Trump administration's internal debate in Israel are revealed in Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House." The book, which is currently at the center of a political storm, also details casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson's behind-the-scenes involvement on this issue.

According to the book, Bannon was pushing to move the American Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on Trump's first day in office. He also wanted to finally kill the two-state solution by announcing that Jordan will take back the West Bank and Egypt will assume control over the Gaza Strip. In the book's first chapter, he is quoted telling Roger Ailes, former head of Fox News, this plan, adding that Adelson, Trump and Netanyahu were all "on board" with the idea.

According to Wolff, "Bannon’s effort to grab the stronger-on-Israel label was deeply confounding to Kushner, who was raised as an Orthodox Jew. For Kushner, Bannon’s right-wing defense of Israel, embraced by Trump, somehow became a jujitsu piece of anti-Semitism aimed directly at him. Bannon seemed determined to make Kushner appear weak and inadequate – a cuck, in alt-right speak."
Wolff adds: "on Israel, Bannon had partnered with Sheldon Adelson, titan of Las Vegas, big-check right-wing contributor, and, in the president’s mind, quite the toughest tough-guy Jew (that is, the richest)."

The full paragraph reads: "'Charlie Kushner,' said Bannon, smacking his head again in additional disbelief. 'He’s going crazy because they’re going to get down deep in his $#@! about how he’s financed everything. The rabbis with the diamonds and all the $#@! coming out of Israel and all these guys coming out of Eastern Europe all these Russian guys and guys in Kazakhstan. And he’s frozen on 666 [Fifth Avenue], when it goes under next year, the whole thing’s cross-collateralized he’s wiped, he’s gone, he’s done, it’s over. Toast.'"
The book, released on Friday, became an instant bestseller upon its release.

This is what sparked the Trump statement.

Gotta love the one word "quotes" in the first paragraph. That's modern journalism.

Donald Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon has described the Trump Tower meeting between the president’s son and a group of Russians during the 2016 election campaign as “treasonous” and “unpatriotic”, according to an explosive new book seen by the Guardian.

Bannon, speaking to author Michael Wolff, warned that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: “They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.”
    ...
He is particularly scathing about a June 2016 meeting involving Trump’s son Donald Jr, son-in-law Jared Kushner, then campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in New York. A trusted intermediary had promised documents that would “incriminate” rival Hillary Clinton but instead of alerting the FBI to a potential assault on American democracy by a foreign power, Trump Jr replied in an email: “I love it.”

The meeting was revealed by the New York Times in July last year, prompting Trump Jr to say no consequential material was produced. Soon after, Wolff writes, Bannon remarked mockingly: “The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor – with no lawyers. They didn’t have any lawyers.

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad $#@!, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon went on, Wolff writes, to say that if any such meeting had to take place, it should have been set up “in a Holiday Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire, with your lawyers who meet with these people”. Any information, he said, could then be “dump[ed] … down to Breitbart or something like that, or maybe some other more legitimate publication”.

Bannon added: “You never see it, you never know it, because you don’t need to … But that’s the brain trust that they had.”
    ...

The media makes it seem like Bannon held a press conference or wrote a book about Trump. What we really have is the media using one word quotes from a book which purports to quote Bannon. Lots of room for spin in that chain of gossip.

Do we even have a video of Trump making these statements? I don't trust the mainstream media. They report bull$#@! about Trump almost everyday that turns out to not be true.

Either way none of this matters at all. It affects nothing.

When you say that Trump is producing fake news, do you mean he's just plain lying (shocker), that he's intentionally releasing false official statements for the purpose of creating drama to distract the populace, or both?

It was a written statement released by the White House. You can find it yourself via as many sources as you'd like, and in addition you can watch video of Sarah Huckabee Sanders as she both confirms the authenticity of the statement and officially answer questions about it.

In b4 the entire world is in conspiracy against your GEOTUS now... including Trump himself.

What the hell are you talking about?

All I know is when the media reports a bunch of bull$#@!, it turns out 90-100% is bull$#@! later on, I don't need to guess which part is bull$#@! I can just wait and see. In the mean time, I don't give a $#@!. And even if it is all true, it doesn't matter one IOTA. That's why I haven't spent any time tracking down whether it was "official White House statement" "from the President" or whatever.

He is probably $#@!ing with the media and the left (aka you), trying to get a big reaction. Nobody else cares because it doesn't matter. You only care about it because you have Trump derangement syndrome and will use any excuse to try and make him look bad, but all it does is make YOU look bad.

You said it was probably the second. The second option was that he himself is producing the fake news. Now you're turning it back around to the media reporting fake news? Which is it?

$#@!ing with the media and the left... how? Is the Trump/Bannon drama some 29D chess and they actually love each other and are actually having hot gay sex every night?

You're the one twisting yourself in a pretzel, going to verify what was said and who said what and doing all this research to get to the bottom of it.. When in the end, it's all fake news bull$#@! and it doesn't even matter.

THAT is why Trump said it. So you would waste your time on nonsense while the rest of us do more productive things.

When you're done, you can go back and look into Trump's ties with Russia during the election. Have fun kook.

Lol. A year in and I'm actually starting to warm up to Trump.
Theye have refused their Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

Theye have erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

Theye kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies

Theye have combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution,

For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

Theye plundered and destroyed the lives of our people.

Theye are at this time transporting Armies of Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy of a civilized nation.

It doesn't matter if it's bull$#@! or not.

    • If it is bull$#@!, then Trump's reaction matches up neatly with the thin-skinned dupe that he's been accused of being.
    • If it's not bull$#@!, then Trump and Bannon just had a very public falling-out in which Bannon hinted that he's willing to roll over on Trump and say bad $#@! about him and his family on the Russia thing, which caused Trump to completely lose his $#@! and release this statement to discredit him.

    Take your pick.
