The official story on Fethullah Gülen is about the following (from the “independent” Wikipedia)...
Gülen was born 27 April 1941 (or in 1938). His father was (also) an imam (Muslim preacher). Gülen became an imam in 1959; in 1966 he was transferred to a mosque in Izmir. Gülen retired from formal preaching in 1981.
Gülen's followers have built over 1,000 schools around the world.
Gülen has repeatedly talked with Jewish Zionist organisations, including a meeting in Turkey in 1998 with Israeli Sephardic Head Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi Doron.
Gülen heavily criticised multinational aid groups that tried to help Palestinians in Gaza, because they didn’t respect Israel's sea blockade of Gaza. Gülen called this "a sign of defying authority, and will not lead to fruitful matters".
In 1999, Gülen went to the US for medical treatment, and then decided to stay…
Gülen was tried in absentia in 2000 in Turkey, for some remarks that seemed to favour an Islamic state. He was acquitted in 2008 under the new AKP government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In 2013, Erdogan publicly accused Gülen of being behind corruption investigations into the AKP.
On 19 December 2014, a Turkish court issued an arrest warrant for Gülen. He was accused of running an "armed terrorist group".
These days, Gülen lives in exile in the US, residing in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. He is sought by the Turkish government for his involvement in the 1 day July 2016 “coup” in Turkey: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fethullah_G%C3%BClen
So now for the truth about Fethullah Gülen, besides that he and Erdogan are al-munafiqun.
In September 1980, the CIA and co staged a “real” military coup in Turkey. The CIA showed Turkey the true nature of a “democracy” where the intelligence agencies rule supreme.
A member of the US National Security Council said about an aide saying to then US President Jimmy Carter "Our boys have done it".
Some 650,000 people were detained, 230,000 people put on trial, 14,000 lost their citizenship, all political parties, unions and foundations were closed, 50 were executed, 171 were killed under custody, hundreds of thousands were tortured, thousands are still missing: https://www.hurriyet.com.tr/turkey-s...2-1980-9884161
Gülen publicly supported this bloody coup, so he must have been recruited by the CIA...
Fethullah Gülen’s green card application was supported by amongst others: George Fidas (CIA, Joint Military Intelligence Council), Morton Abramowitz (Ambassador to Turkey, President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Senior Fellow at The Century Foundation), and Graham Fuller (Vice-Chairman of the National Intelligence Council of the CIA, Senior Political Consultant RAND Corporation): http://turkishinvitations.weebly.com...391/doc_28.pdf
It was Gülen’s network that created the Turkey’s AKP regime of Erdogan.
In 2011, Osman Nuri Gündes, former head of Foreign Intelligence for the Turkish intelligence agency MIT and chief intelligence adviser in the mid-1990s to Prime Minister Tansu Ciller, published a book.
In this book, Gündes claims that Gülen’s worldwide Islamic movement based in Pennsylvania has been providing cover for the CIA since the mid-1990s, and in the 90s it “sheltered 130 CIA agents” at its schools in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan alone.
Turkish journalists have detailed that Gülen-loyal police tied to Edrogan’s AKP have infiltrated the Turkish police, intelligence services and other key positions throughout the government.
In May 2013, already more than 100 Turkish journalists had been arrested for writing critically about “Gülen’s AKP”.
By 1988, Fuller had formally moved from a senior post at the CIA to the neo-conservative “think tank”, RAND Corporation, where he officially worked on the “Middle East, Central Asia, South and Southeast Asia, and problems of ethnicity and religion”. That’s completely different from the CIA covert operations…
Washington used Turkey and the AKP fundamentalist networks of Gülen to wreak havoc across the post-communist oil and mineral-rich regions of Central Asia. Graham Fuller and Fethullah Gülen were involved in those covert operations.
In 2008 Fuller published a book “The New Turkish Republic: Turkey as a Pivotal State in the Muslim World”. Sibel Edmonds explained that the process involved using Turkey with assistance from “actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia” as a proxy.
According to Daniel Hopsicker, in 1995 the uncle of the alleged Boston bombers, Ruslan Tsarnaev, used the home address of his then-father-in-law, Graham Fuller, in his correspondence.
When Tsarnaev was married to Samantha Ankara Fuller, he worked on oil deals in the Caucasus for companies connected to Halliburton and as consultant for the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Kazakhstan: http://www.voltairenet.org/article178623.html

Samantha Fuller and Ruslan Tsarnaev divorced sometime before 2004.
In the 1980s, Graham Fuller was deeply involved in supporting the opium producing Afghanistan, and in arming both Iran and Iraq for reasons unknown.
Another reference for Gülen’s Green Card, Morton Abramowitz, was also deeply involved with the Afghan mujahedin and Kosovo “rebels”.
Today, Turkey has over 85,000 active mosques, 1 for every 880 citizens — compared to 1389 hospitals — the highest number per capita in the world with 90,000 imams: http://www.progressivepress.net/the-...-lives-in-usa/
I finish this post with a video by James Corbett and a transcript.
Necip Hablemitoglu of Ankara University, who was assassinated in 2002 in a still unsolved case, wrote a report in January 2001 “Operation Agents – Infiltration Spies and Fethullah-ists” in which he claimed that GülenLatif Erdogan (no family of the Turkish President) said in 2014:voluntarily worked as an agent for the CIA and lived under the protection of the FBI in the state of Pennsylvania, on a private estate designed for him.Graham Fuller defended that Gülen couldn’t be behind the July 2016 one day “coup”, because:Gulen himself is unequivocally a pro-European Union and Atlantic person, a free marketeer and a pragmatist on Israel. Erdogan is at his core a populist reactionary, a state capitalist and a crony capitalist.Bill Clinton, once praised Gülen at a “Friendship Dinner” hosted by the Turkish Cultural Center:He even felt compelled to support the military takeover of the state in 1980 in order to preserve the state in the face of raging guerrilla warfare raging in the streets.http://dutchturks.nl/meet-fethullah-...state-plotter/By being here tonight you are contributing to a lasting peace and security at home and abroad.
