    ...killed 68 million people.

    This is a reminder.

...in light of martial noises coming out of DC now.

Remember what "go get 'em" costs.

    -Ludwig von Mises

"Patriotism, not nationalism, should inspire the citizen. The ethnic nationalist who wants a linguistically and culturally uniform nation is akin to the racist who is intolerant toward those who look (and behave) differently. The patriot is a "diversitarian"; he is pleased, indeed proud of the variety within the borders of his country; he looks for loyalty from all citizens. And he looks up and down, not left and right."

    -Erik Maria Ritter von Kuehnelt-Leddihn

"All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

That doesn't look like Afghanistan or Iraq... it does look like the last two legally declared wars though.
War is supposed to be horrific, so it is only prosecuted in cases of extreme need.

As opposed to the Authorized Use of Military Force ... which is much more antiseptic and acceptable to utilize.

I'm afraid that the US is on the verge of doing something extremely stupid in Korea.

he commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Robert Neller, told troops Thursday that "there's a war coming" and urged them to be prepared."I hope I'm wrong, but there's a war coming," Neller told Marines stationed in Norway, during a visit there, according to Military.com. "You're in a fight here, an informational fight, a political fight, by your presence," he added. The commandant pointed to Russia and the Pacific theater as the next major areas of conflict, predicting a "big-ass fight" in the future.

A big-ass fight? I hope we lose some weight first.

A single division of post-menopausal Rusky wmyns armed with felled trees for clubs could kill our modern troops.

It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.
