Matt Drudge takes establishment victory lap "Luther Strange would have won!"

Matt Drudge on Ala. Senate election: 'Luther Strange would have won'

The Drudge Report’s Matt Drudge blasted Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore (R) after his loss Tuesday, saying Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.) would have won the race.

“Luther Strange would have won in a landslide... Just too much crazy in nerve racking times,” Drudge said Tuesday night in a rare tweet. “There IS a limit!”

Strange currently holds the seat that was up for grabs in the Alabama special election. He lost the GOP primary to Moore.

Drudge has previously labeled Moore as “Judge Whore” on his influential news-aggregation website after reports of sexual misconduct allegations against Moore were reported.

Moore was accused of sexual misconduct last month by multiple women, including one woman who said Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 years old and he was in his 30s

Drudge must have been convinced that Moore could have single-handidly passed a sodomy ban in Congress.

i don't like it any more than you do, but it is necessary to remember we can't really afford screw ups like this one. Moore can't be the only liberty minded person eligible to run for Senate. We have to consider the margin of majority is very thin in Washington, and we really can't even count on the ones who are there. We need to remember that these individual losses have arms and legs.

Of course he's right that any typical low-risk establishment Republican would have won.

But so what? It's hardly worth pointing out, unless all you care about is the R after someone's name.

Yes, we must find people who are immune to women saying they kinda wanted to be horny towards them in the 1970s. This requires younger candidates.

Younger candidates have been indoctrinated with "democracy", and believe in it.

People with real integrity. I remember when Clarence Thomas was in confirmation hearings, Anita Hill stood alone, because dozens of women came along to attest to Justice Thomas's integrity and high standard of behavior in the workplace.

It is possible to have integrity.

And if Trump had lost, they would be saying "Jeb Bush would have won".

This race was similar to POTUS election, but with opposite results. The most controversial candidate won the Primary. In Trump's case, it was the Democrat media plan to push him. Did the Democrats somehow help Roy Moore win the Primary?

    Moore had it.

They just shelled out for more liars and the target audience was sheeple Republican women not Senators.

    The McCaskill maneuver, perhaps?

Basic strategy: use push polling and advertisements that focus on the opposing Party Primary opponent you think is weakest in the General. They use reverse psychology. "Oh no, this guy is too conservative, don't vote for him!"

LOL ya- there are a lot of people who are conditioned to believe stuff like this has happened to other people if it has happened to them because its a way of coping with it- and the whole big lie- people believe it because they wouldn't lie about it. It's why the whole election was disgusting and anyone claiming victory over this overt subversion of our democratic systems are the enemy.

If Strange had won we'd be stuck with him for the next 12 years at least. Better to have two years of Jones and then have Mo Brooks take the seat in 2020 than be stuck with Swamp Creature Strange.

I wonder how much we will hear from Moore's accusers now that he has lost. It seems less important already that he allegedly wrote in someone's yearbook. I hope that poor lady finds peace. I wrote in someone's yearbook once and I didn't realize the emotional trauma I was causing. If only I could go back in time and make up some excuse like, 'I forgot where I put my pen.'

How many voted for Moore vs. Luther Strange in special primary, and then flipped to Jones /write-in . . . it messed up the entire process of even having a special election to fill a vacated seat.
elections special or not cost money . . . more fiscally responsible to have just stayed with the interim appointed Senator Strange until next regular election.
Alabama citizens can't be happy about how this went down.
