Syria says hits Israeli aircraft, intercepts some rockets fired by Israel

Israel fired several surface-to-surface missiles into Syria last night. First attack began at 2:40 A.M. and the second wave began at 4:00 A.M. and lasted until 4:15 A.M. While some of the missiles were intercepted, most hit the SAA's base in Qutayfah.

This involves satellite navigation, barometric pressure sensors, and remote-controlled dropping
of professionally assembled explosive devices within the predesignated coordinates," Bondarev told Interfax on Tuesday.

"The U.S. first broke into a sovereign country without a UN sanction and started to nurture a civil war and arm, finance, and train terrorist organizations.
Then, after the main militant units were destroyed, it salvaged their surviving remnants.
Now, along with countries subordinate to them, it is supplying the terrorists with high-technology drones," he said.

In this situation, it would be absolutely reasonable for any country to improve its air defense system, Bondarev said.

during an attack of terrorists' UAVs at Russian military facilities in Syria," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement obtained by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.

"It is necessary to have good training in one of the developed countries if only to program controllers of an airplane-type UAV
then drop ordinances in accordance to the GPS.
Not everyone can obtain precise coordinates on the basis of space reconnaissance data," he said.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:20 P.M.) – The Turkish regime summoned the Iranian and Russian ambassadors this evening,
following the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) significant gains in the Idlib Governorate.

According to Turkish state media, the Turkish regime summoned the ambassadors
in order to report that the Syrian Army’s gains were a breach of the de-escalation agreement.

No further details have been released.

However, despite this claim by the Turkish regime, the Syrian Army has repeatedly stated
that any part of Syria that has a Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (Nusra ) presence is fair game for their forces.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:40 A.M.) – The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu called on Russia and Iran
to halt the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) large-scale advance in the Idlib Governorate, adding that it is a violation of the de-escalation agreement.

“Russia and Iran must stop the Syrian regime. They should realize their duties as guarantor countries,”
Çavuşoğlu told state-run Anadolu Agency on January 10th, as quoted by Hurriyet Daily.

Çavuşoğlu added that the Syrian government is attempting to weaken the opposition forces by launching such a large assault inside the Idlib Governorate.
