COMEX is bust - no more gold for delivery

It appears that COMEX is finally bust and out of deliverable gold, according to PM guru Harvey Organ. Makes sense considering the short monkey-hammering of metals lately. Silver probably not far behind.

THIS IS A MASSIVE FRAUD: THEY CANNOT SUPPLY ANY METAL TO OUR COMEX LONGS BUT THEY ARE QUITE WILLING TO SUPPLY MASSIVE NON BACKED GOLD (AND SILVER) PAPER KNOWING THAT THEY HAVE NO METAL TO SATISFY OUR LONGS.

Is that why gold fell by $4.75 an ounce (according to your link)? Because there isn't any left? If true, wouldn't the price of gold be soaring?

This says they have over 900,000 ounces registered, deliverable gold as of today. http://www.24hgold.com/english/inter...tfcodecom=gold

COMEX will never admit on paper that they're out of gold. As always, it is actions that matter, not the rhetoric or stats. Second, you know very well that the price of gold is based on the paper game rigged by a handful of banks. Finally, that link doesn't even work on my computer.

Pure nonsense- just like the Gold $10,000, Fed won't raise rates, next Fed move is a rate cut and SDR to replace the dollar in 2018 hype from Dim Richards

    Normalcy bias^^^^

Are you saying that since it hasn't happened/been reported yet, even though Harvey explains that COMEX is forwarding contracts to London now, it never will? Which is rather strange since according to the video above London is ceasing metals fixing soon, presumably handing it to Shanghai. Do you think COMEX is going to splash it across the media or will it become more apparent as the price climbs? If you're waiting for a CNBC headline "COMEX IS BUST" then you don't know much.

See above. Why quote Rickards? This thread has nothing to do with Rickards. You're being like Zippy, citing Peter Schiff whenever you want to derail an econ thread.

Do you have a link showing how much gold that COMEX has available for delivery? (most gold never even leaves their warehouse- they just change the title of who owns it).

Most commodity futures contract positions are closed prior to the delivery period. This means that more often than not, the people that contract to trade on the exchange liquidate their contractual commitments prior to having to take delivery.
