Really? That's the argument. And was it the so called "Israelis" that took Palestine forcibly or did they rely upon the "rest of the world" as in UK to do that for them? Who provided the weapons and the billions of dollars in foreign aid and the political cover for the systemic forcible taking of territory and peoples? Oh yeah, that's right, they relied on the "rest of the world" to provide that for them as in US/UK. But will the sword label the Israel "weak and cowardly" for relying on US/UK.

The hypocrisy is strong with this one.

And while sword rightly condemns US assistance in arming, funding and supporting ISIS, Al Qaeda Saudi dictatorship aggression in Yemen, funding revolution, where is the condemnation for supporting and aiding the Israeli government's aggression over the decades. US funding alone at $3 billion a year, plus training, military and intelligence cooperation, weapons supply, logistics, political cover, and more. But when the government of Israel relies on US/UK to tilt the scales of its violence , well then its the victims' fault for resisting in the methods they can, and simultaneously the victims are "weak and cowardly" because the don't have the outside superpower assistance that is provided to the Israeli government. Such mentality is inherently self-contradictory.

Amid ongoing controversy over the US decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem, a Bahraini delegation has arrived in Israel to "send a message of peace", according to media reports.
A report in the Times of Israel on Sunday said the visit indicated a warming of ties between the two countries, which do not maintain diplomatic relations.
Comprising two dozen members of a group called This Is Bahrain, the delegation will stay in Israel for four days to "send a message of religious tolerance and coexistence", according to the Times.

    4. Palestine refugees’ properties and their revenues, was adopted by a vote of 159 to 7 against … This resolution requests the protection of Arab property, rights and assets.
    5. Work of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories, was adopted by a vote of 83 to 10 … The draft resolution requests continuing investigation of Israeli practices and consultation with the International Committee of the Red Cross to assure human rights protections in the occupied territories.
    6. Applicability of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, of 12 August 1949, to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and the other occupied Arab territories, was adopted by 157 to 7 … This resolution assures applicability of the Geneva Conventions to the Occupied Palestinian Territory (and Arab territories taken over since 1967).
    7. Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and the occupied Syrian Golan, was adopted by 155 for, 7 … It condemns the acts of violence by Israeli settlers in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
    8. Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, was adopted by vote of 153 to 8 … The resolution demands Israel stop violating the human rights (including the killing of, injury, arbitrary detention, etc.) of the Palestinian people and to stop all settlement activity.
    9. The occupied Syrian Golan, was adopted by a vote of 151 for 2 against (Israel, Palau) …The resolution affirms previous UN resolutions and insists on not establishing settlements in the occupied Syrian Golan. …

NY Port Authority suspect blames bombing on Israeli actions in Gaza

NEW YORK — The suspect in a pipe bomb attack on this city’s Port Authority Bus Terminal said he was motivated by Israeli actions in Gaza, CNN reported.

Akayed Ullah spoke with authorities at Bellevue Hospital, where he was taken after the bomb went off prematurely. He was among four people injured in the attack when his homemade bomb partially detonated in a tunnel connecting the Times Square subway station with the Midtown Manhattan transit hub during Monday’s morning rush hour.

New York Police identified Ullah, 27, as a resident of Brooklyn. He is said to be of Bangladeshi origin and has lived in the United States for the past seven years. CNN cited a “law enforcement source” who said Ullah said he was upset with an unspecified “incursion into Gaza.

On Friday, rockets fired at southern Israel from Gaza damaged the entrance of an empty kindergarten in the town of Sderot. Israel responded late Friday night with airstrikes on Hamas military installations in Gaza that killed two Hamas operatives.

On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces discovered and demolished a terror tunnel that crossed into Israel from central Gaza.

Pathetic. You'll stop at nothing to re-frame every bone people have to pick with Trump's stupid foreign policies as an assault against [your] truth, which is clearly whatever angle favors Trump.

The irony is that what the president said does not concede those rights and claims. His recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital reflects a reality that it is the seat of Israel’s government and that, for the Jewish state, Jerusalem will always be its capital — there is no other city that could be. For Palestinians, they too no doubt cannot envision any city but Jerusalem as the capital of their state, if and when it emerges from moribund negotiations. The president’s statement does not rule that out: On the contrary, he said that the United States is not taking a position on “the specific boundaries of the Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem, or the resolution of contested borders.” Those questions, he said, “are up to the parties involved.”

    There is no irony.

Israel is our colony, meaning it does not exist w/o the USG's Mid East presence. Trump now recognizes Jerusalem as that colony's capital, which means any challenge to their choice for new capital will be met by our military, and there will be more challenges simply because of this stupid move. Trump's neocon pals in Likud will not initiate or participate in any further talks, so long as we've given them Jerusalem, and that's exactly what the carrot's done. The Israelis will never hand half the city over to a future, hypothetical Palestine, now that they have full cooperation from USG for making the move permanent. Our colonists will continue removing Palestinians and settling Israelis in their place, until in ten years time there won't be a Semite left in Jerusalem.

None of that is any different now than it was before, Israel was NEVER going to give up Jerusalem in whole or in part and we have been totally committed to their defense for longer than I have been alive.

Whether you think we own them or they are independent doesn't matter, one way we are telling the truth about something we have been lying about for decades and the other way we correctly recognized a sovereign state's capital.

I honestly don't see it as a 'fulfillment' of anything even CLOSE
to what the Scriptures describes as that 'event'...
when the LORD (himself) shall gather his people.

Bottom line 4 me: It's a political entity not a spiritual one...
It's just as malevolent as any other government on Earth.
It could even suffer destruction.... with every Christian's jaw hanging slack.
    but
not one jot nor tittle will be out of place because of it. Selah.

    Re OIC declaration...

The OIC ruling acknowledged Jerusalem as capital of both Israel and Palestine now...

Probably the most fair and balanced thing thats happened in the peace process.
Now that capitals are established after 70 years.... maybe they can negotiate something else?

Admittedly OIC is a Sunni pep rally... and Erdogan never misses an opportunity to strongman another nation for a brief stint as champion for Muslims.
    but...
it's distinct from Iran's position re illegal 'State' of Israel and 'Palestine only' position.

    On the flip side however..
they aren't recognized internationally because they export terrorism...
and their goal of dar ul Islam is global conquest and conversion of all the world population to Muslims.

so.. we still have a problem. (sigh)
