Trump Serves Thanksgiving To Coast Guard

Turkey? Stuffing? Nope. Pre-made sandwiches and chips. Nothing but the best for the men and women serving our country!

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/23/tr...-armed-forces/

The president and first lady chose to spend part of their Thanksgiving feeding and thanking active duty members of the Armed Forces.

President Trump and Melania Trump showed up to Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet to deliver meals to dozens of active Coast Guardsmen who had to work on Thanksgiving.

The First family served sandwiches, fruit, juice, cookies, muffins and sodas they had donated to sixty active duty coast guardsmen, some who were heading out to patrol soon thereafter.

While Riviera Beach is only a 20-minute drive from the president's Mar-a-Lago resort, it seems he did not bring food from there. Instead, the table seemed to be packed with premade food and brands you could find at your local Subway.
Trump's Thanksgiving meal in Mar-a-Lago later in the day included "turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes with marshmallows — as well as local produce, red snapper, Florida stone crab and a variety of baked goods, cakes, and pies," a spokeswoman for the first lady told The New York Times.

Nutrition was a major focus of the Obama administration.

This is what happens when Mama Gov makes your meals:

    Public Release: 11-Aug-2016
Students in government-funded school meal programs at higher risk of being overweight

[Excerpts from an article about the Virginia Tech study]

"...these government funded school meal programs that are aimed at making kids healthy are in fact making participating students more at risk of being overweight," said Wen You, associate professor of agricultural and applied economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences."

"You found that those children who were most likely to be overweight came from families who participate in both the school breakfast and lunch programs consistently throughout their elementary and intermediate school years. These children consume one-third to one-half of their daily meals at school.
"We found that the longer children were in the programs, the higher their risk of being overweight.'"

"...controlled for the self-selection and income effects to examine school meal programs' influence on student's body mass index z-score changes."

And speaking of Soros. He's the guy who said he wants to pay more taxes, but sure doesn't act like it:

ZAKARIA: What about taxes? Do you support President Obama’s proposal to increase taxes on the wealthy?

Compliance issues in regards to regulations and permits made it very difficult to serve food on site that was not already prepackaged and previously prepared in a safe approved environment.

Trump probably is thankful that the entire fleet surrounds Mar-A-Lago for every golf match or banquet event. But what are us taxpayers? Chopped liver? Where's our turkey & gravy train?
