I listened to the NC State-Syracuse game on the radio the other night. Wolfpack almost folded when Boeheim switched from their zone to a more frenetic style. This time though, NC State handled it and went on to win. As it stands now, they might have enough signature wins to get in. Probably could use one or two more good wins though.

Villanova - Xavier today . Muh Hoosiers trail by 3 at Half in Iowa , Iowa shot 70 percent from the field in the first half. Hoosiers shoot 50 percent from 3 and only 6 turnovers to stay in it . I think we have to win this one if they want a chance for a 10 - 8 Big Ten finish .

Hoosiers up 60 - 56 with 14 1/2 minutes to play . Looking good so far . Going to need to play a little defense here .

10 1/2 to play , Iowa calls timeout , Hoosiers up 72- 59 . Starting Guards are 12 of 16 beyond the arc combined ....... 3:43 to play Hoosiers up 79 - 75 . They have to finish .

After trailing by as much as 13 in the first Half with Iowa hitting first 10 shots , Indiana wins at Iowa 84 - 82 after blowing a 13 point second half lead and missing the front end of a free throw set within the last minute . Robert Johnson ties the team 3 point FG record in a single game with 9 by hitting 9 of 12 . We got beaten on the boards badly ( 19 - 33 with the hawkeyes getting 10 offensive rebounds ) but shot 55 percent from the field and 59 percent from 3 . Hoosiers have won four in a row , I think for the first time this season , since a 3 point loss to #2 Michigan State at the beginning of Feb .

michigan state holds Northwestern to 11 points in the second half to come back from a large deficit and win 65 - 60 .

Oklahoma skid continues , probably lost 8 of ten .

South Carolina and Georgia beat a couple of heavily over ranked teams today . Kansas wins , Nevada and Villanova win . Top 8 still looks like the top 8 . Navy wins , SMU manages to score only 37 in the game they had today , Butler beats a pretty good Providence team . Va Tech wins . Kansas St gets in another win in what has been a great season for them so far . Ball St and Boise St impressive today . Mastodons win ( Ft Wayne ) , Billikens win ( St Louis ) .

UNC Asheville & Charleston Southern turned out to be the game of the day with ashville winning in OT 85 - 80 .

Ill beats Nebraska today 72 - 66 with only 6 points off the bench . Kind of something you could only pull off at home in the Big 10 .

Northwestern at home tonight against a Maryland team looking for 20 wins . We will see if Northwestern puts together a better second half than the epic collapse against Mich St last time out .

IUPUI trails Oakland by 3 at the Half , Notre Dame trailing miami . Wright St , Northern Ky in action tonight and a bunch of sub .500 teams . It is that time of yr to get yer Mom and girlfriend to come to the game .

Notre Dame loses by 3 , IUPUI wins by 7 , Maryland reaches 19 wins , trailing Northwestern by 7 at half they win by 7 .

Despite horrible turnovers and rebounding , at the Half in nebraska , Hoosiers lead a very good Cornhuskers team by 1 .

Hoosiers lay an egg in Lincoln tonight in a game they should have easily won . 20 turnovers lead to 26 Nebraska points , nearly all unforced errors. Nebraska an 8 - 0 run in last 4 minutes to win by 9 , while we just continually turned it over . Cornhuskers 66 IU 57 . Out rebounded 39 - 33 but really it was just the turnovers . Shameful .

Michigan squeaks by Iowa in OT . Western Ky - Middle Tenn tonight , big game for the Hilltoppers .

Hoosiers let a 16 point lead slip to 3 with three minutes to half , giving up an 11 - 0 run in New York tonight .

Right now, I'll say #1 Virginia goes down in the regional semis. Michigan State's rebounding is doing what they always do best, but this year they have the excellent shooting to back it up. I'll guess Spartans for the title.
