    Race to Be Pardoned

Deadline is Thursday when one or both may be executed- they are currently holed up in a Washington hotel room. Who would you like to spare?

Soon-to-be-pardoned turkeys are relaxing in a DC hotel

Drumstick and Wishbone, the two turkeys set to be pardoned by President Trump tomorrow, have arrived in Washington DC. They spent Sunday night in a hotel.

Only one of them will get the official presidential pardon — and you can vote on that here https://twitter.com/WhiteHouse/statu...48144348868610 — but after the Tuesday ceremony, both of them will be sent to live at Gobblers Rest at Virginia Tech.

It's about time a president broke that stupid tradition and refused to pardon one bird just to eat another, it just feeds the moronic carebear streak in our culture.

I don't get it, why are both sent to Gobblers Rest if only one's pardoned? Is that an allusion for how DC just-us works?

WTF? I think they should both be executed along with the idiot who came up with the idea to put up turkeys in a hotel room.

Right? I bet Mr A would love to be put up in a hotel and then retired to a farm to free range around for the rest of his life.

Consuming turkey is not a sentence - its part of the cycle of life. No president will ever change this fact.

With that said, having seen how some turkeys must live their lives, I dont really see Thanks Giving as such a bad thing for turkeys.

...just another circus as far as I'm concerned. "Turkeys trying to save turkeys"...

They don't seriously room these birds... Its gotta be just long enough for the photograph... right? In any other universe I'd be ridiculed for allowing otherwise, but I just don't know how to call this one.

Damn turkeys have $#@! taste in music, too.

These free birds are celebrating in style.

Wishbone and Drumstick — the two lucky Turkeys chosen to be pardoned by President Trump — arrived at a luxury Washington D.C. hotel Monday to relax before their big public appearance.

The birds were lounging on their beds and watching football in their two-bedroom suite at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in downtown Washington.

    ...

The White House said that Drumstick weighs 47 pounds and its favorite band is Journey. Wishbone, however, weighs 36 pounds and is country fan who favors Faith Hill and Tim McGraw
