You can and have fallen over without drinking. Why should drinking make a difference?

Happiness isn't enough. Contented is what one should strive for.

It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

Fall over sitting in a chair or standing up ? Important difference because I distinctly remember one year at my giant bonfire for The Battle of the Wabash getting up after being seated for quite some time and having difficulty walking . While I was in my chair though I did not even feel intoxicated .

From what I have seen in various places around the earth if an individual is not content when they start drinking it is not likely they will be after .

Booze isn't the problem. Gravity is.
To prevent falling, I'd suggest drinking in a recumbent position.

This is a dumb poll but because it has an impressive number of options, +rep.
    1. Don't lie.
    2. Don't cheat.
    3. Don't steal.
    4. Don't kill.
    5. Don't commit adultery.
    6. Don't covet what your neighbor has, especially his wife.
    7. Honor your father and mother.
    8. Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy.
    9. Don’t use your Higher Power's name in vain, or anyone else's.
    10. Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

That gravity thing presented me with many problems when I was young .With age comes wisdom . Now I know just to stay in my leather recliner and I no longer have to shotgun a couple hot beers in Aug and try and jump off the top of the barn with a home made parachute .

So do you use alcohol as an escape? Or you just think it's fun to get drunk and fall over?

(Like you said… You knew these kinds of questions were coming.)

I learned on rpfs that tequila works best as a fertility aid.

If the ladies drink enough of it , even the agave worm will appear to them as a little fertility goddess .

You reminded me...on my 21st birthday, I actually ate the worm in the bottle of Mezcal. The guy I was dating at the time had brought a bunch of those little bottles and at my party a bunch of them ate the worm. Then the entire party was chanting at me to eat the worm ('Do it! Do it! Do it!") so it was total peer pressure, and I guess because I was a little buzzed, I did it.

Anyway, I've already been there done that when it comes to drinking… now I have an entirely different perspective. One that I know is not very popular around here. So I'm sure you know how I voted.

    You don't drink either?

Nope, the last time I drank was October 31, 2003. The second best decision I ever made in my life. I've learned you don't need alcohol to have fun. My first night out as a non-drinker, I remember I had a great time, with no hangover the next day. And I said to myself "why the hell didn't I do this years earlier?"
