Any plans for Bonfire Night/Guy Fawkes Night?

Just curious. I'm probably going to be catching up on work I didn't get to during the week. Maybe something will materialize before then. My goal is to at least burn heinous people like Bernanke in effigy as per tradition. Remember, remember the 5th of November...

I don't celebrate British holidays, especially those dedicated to monarchists.

In my mind it's Guy Faulks I cheer on. Too bad he failed. Gotta give him an A for effort though...

Then there's the move --- Loved it when Big Ben blew up.

Guy Faulks was a Catholic monarchist, he only wanted to blow up the protestant parliament to restore a Catholic absolute monarch.

I say we resurrect an old New England tradition:

    Pope Night.

Especially in light of the Communist Pope currently in charge.

I had heard about that years ago when I was kid.

It was said that the northeast tradition of "Mischief Night" was started by Pope Night.

I can't. Mr A and the boys plan on going to a bar for the $5 appetizers and then catching a movie. They will be mad if they miss the regular viewing and have to pay extra for the Big D. For people who don't like the Big D, they sure do talk about it a lot.

If I have any left after fixing the clocks, I may spend it on some of that me time I hear people talk about.

Why do they do it at 2am? If I'm up at 2 am, I'm too busy to be messing with clocks.

It makes them feel smug to screw over the third shift people as that demographic does not vote in high numbers .
