Well, I have a really long driveway which isn't really fun on Halloween since I like to be part of the action. I normally decorate the end of my driveway and we set up chairs, a cooler, and snacks. I haven't asked but my next door neighbors usually have their corn hole set up in the grass between our house and theirs. I don't play corn hole, though. I just act like Bevis when anyone says corn hole.

My sons take the evil ginger girls next door trick or treating and then they hang out in the cul de sac with us.

Nope. I'd be dead in every month.

Are you familiar with The Legend of Stingy Jack ? Well , he and I usually make a midnight run by Dankes . We like to see if Danke ever got his soul back from the Wendigo .

Taking a break now listening to Bloodrock DOA .

  7. #6
As usual Danke will spend this All Hallows Evening huddled in the darkness in fear of bikers and children seeking candy instead of remembering the departed .

We are allowed to dress up today at work. I'm wearing a red plaid tunic, a jingle bell necklace, jeans, boots, and a Santa hat.

I'm the mean neighbor who has her porch lights off, refusing to give out candy.

    "I don't like little kids..."

I just don't feel like dealing with the dog barking and all that crap.

What if they knock anyway? I would've. I thought people with their lights off just forgot to turn them on until I got yelled at.

    Anybody dressing up?

I'm gonna wear a Halloween t-shirt and I have a cool skeleton necklace and earring set.

My sons are going as Kenny from South Park (he's been doing that since he got an orange hoddie - he's too cheap/lazy to do anything else) and number two son is going as Jason Vorhees. He's trying to scare the creepy ginger girls but I don't think it's possible.

We weren't always mean. We used to open the door in our old neighborhood and scare kids and give them lots of candy and all that... but then we moved to our new (older) neighborhood years ago that had ZERO kids. And now... years later, there's kids here. And we're set in our ways now. No going back. lol.....

Plus I'm not about to give any candy to the kids down the street who scream at the top of their lungs for about 3 hours straight on the weekends.
    Nope. Ain't doin' it.
You want candy, kid? Mow my lawn. Rake Leaves.
Do something. ya mangy... oops... I'm being mean again.

Naw. We live set back in the woods so never any trick or treeters.

Same here...was never a big Halloween guy anyway.

I ought to go and protest at anybody who is dressed up and is not a white, northern, European though.

    Cultural Appropriation and all that...

Probably not wise to be in ghost costume these days either.

I'm not into Halloween anymore… but I didn't want to be a scrooge, so I picked up some candy today just in case any kids come around. Hopefully there won't be very many, so I can have the candy.

Back in my day, there were all kinds of warnings about razor blades in apples. I never got one. Hell, I don't even remember getting an apple. I do remember occasionally getting pennies.

They do. I LOVE old man candy. Every once in awhile, I buy those old man caramels with the white stuff in the middle. I also like the strawberry candy in the psychopath group. As a matter of fact, I keep a bowl of those in my living room.

I like those strawberry thingies . You sometimes saw a couple of those in fancy fruit baskets at Christmas when I was a teenager working at the grocer.

For some odd reason, I've also come across them in sausage and cheese baskets.

Every now and then I'll pick up some orange slices.
