Tillerson called Trump a ‘moron’ and nearly resigned

Pending confirmation, looks like our leader was disrespected by some of our other national leaders.

Tillerson called Trump a ‘moron’ and nearly resigned amid clashes

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson referred to President Trump as a “moron” after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon — and was on the verge of resigning amid clashes with the administration, according to a report on Wednesday.
Vice President Mike Pence managed to persuade Tillerson — who is fourth in line to the presidency — to remain in the job at least until the end of the year, officials told NBC News.
Pence has since urged Tillerson to be respectful of the president, urging that any disagreements be sorted out in-house, a White House official told NBC News.

Should be noted that NBC, CNN media neocons etc has a history of spinning/exaggerating/pushing fakenews too.

Tillerson doesn't deny calling Trump a moron, but says he did not threaten to leave.

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/04/politi...ump/index.html

"I want to dispel with this notion that I have ever considered leaving," Tillerson said in an appearance at the State Department added to his calendar following the bombshell report via NBC News that the secretary of state had called Trump a derogatory name over the summer, had considered resigning and was counseled to remain in the job by Vice President Mike Pence.

While Tillerson's denial that he ever spoke with Pence about leaving his post is important, it's what Tillerson didn't deny that may be even more telling.

Asked whether he had indeed referred to Trump as a "moron," Tillerson said: "I'm not going to deal with petty stuff like that."

Well, since Trump is a moron, and Tillerson is not, and a non-moron must naturally get annoyed working for a moron, this rings true.

The entire NBC source story is kindergarten tabloid trash. The NBC source has since stealth updated with the following:

In a briefing Wednesday afternoon, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said Tillerson did not use the word "moron" to descibe the president. "The secretary did not use that type of language to speak about the president of the Unites States," Nauert said. "He did not say that."

    ...

Tillerson's top State Department spokesman, R.C. Hammond, said Tillerson did not consider quitting this past summer. He denied that Tillerson called Trump a “moron.” Hammond said he was unaware of the details of Tillerson’s meetings with Pence.

    ...

In a statement Wednesday, the vice president’s communications director, Jarrod Agen, said “any statements” that Pence “questioned Ambassador Nikki Haley's value” to the administration are “categorically false.” He also said that, “at no time” did Pence and Tillerson “ever discuss the prospect of the Secretary’s resignation.”

Tillerson Summoned to White House Amid Presidential Fury

Pence was incensed upon learning from the NBC report that Tillerson’s top spokesman had said he once privately questioned the value of Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Officials said the spokesman, R.C. Hammond, fabricated an anecdote that Pence had asked Tillerson in a meeting whether Haley, who is seen as a possible successor to Tillerson, is helpful or harmful to the administration.

NBC reported Wednesday that Tillerson had threatened to resign in July after a series of clashes with the president, at one point venting his frustrations among his colleagues by calling the president a "moron," according to multiple senior administration officials who were aware of the matter at the time.

Four senior administration officials said Trump first learned on Wednesday that Tillerson had disparaged him after a July 20 national security meeting at the Pentagon. Trump vented to Kelly Wednesday morning, leading Kelly to scrap plans to travel with the president to Las Vegas to meet with victims and first responders in Sunday’s mass shooting.

Trump was furious when he saw the NBC News report, which was published shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

With that said, if Trump meant even 50% of what he said on the campaign trail and MAGA, then he really is a moron for filling his administration with people who are deadset against such things. Populate your staff with your enemies and of course you are going to get stabbed in the back, repeatedly.

Now being alleged that he 'f***ing hates' Nikki Haley, too

So says some unnamed "senior Administration official".
If true, I wouldn't hold it against Tillerson. All that "I'm a bad ass" tough talk she performs - acts a lot like like Hillary Clinton.

REPORT: Rex Tillerson ‘F***ing Hates’ Nikki Haley
    Justin Caruso - 11:54 PM 10/06/2017

...The New Yorker reported Friday night, “According to the senior Administration official, Nikki Haley, the U.N. Ambassador, is seen as the most effective diplomat in the crisis; twice she has rallied unanimous support for tighter sanctions at the U.N. Security Council, despite the members’ reluctance to discomfit China. ‘Nikki’s getting it done,’ the official told me. ‘She’s bringing home the bacon.'”

“This has apparently fed an enmity between Tillerson and Haley. ‘Rex hates her,’ the official said. ‘He $#@!ing hates her,'” the article continued.

The article profiles Tillerson and his time in the White House. One point of contention between President Trump and Tillerson is how to handle North Korea’s ambitions. Tillerson would prefer to fix the situation without conflict, yet Trump has been more aggressive and quick to anger in his handling of the Hermit Kingdom.

The secretary has been under pressure recently, after media reports alleged that he called Trump a “moron.” Trump fought back aggressively against the reports, however, Tillerson did not deny the specific comments.

Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, has seen her profile rise since ascending to U.N. ambassador. She reportedly was behind increasing refugee admissions, and has displayed an aggressive posture toward Iran.

H.R. McMaster called Trump an 'idiot' and a 'dope' at private dinner: Report

White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster reportedly said President Trump had the intelligence of a "kindergartner" and called him an "idiot" and a "dope" during a private dinner over the summer in Washington.

Sources told BuzzFeed that McMaster mocked Trump’s intelligence during a dinner in July with Safra Catz, the CEO of software company Oracle.

A source told BuzzFeed that Catz “said the conversation was so inappropriate that it was jaw-dropping.”

McMaster also reportedly mocked the president’s intelligence to another source in private, saying Trump didn’t have the brainpower needed to grasp the issues the National Security Council addresses. The source was unaware of the national security adviser’s remarks at the July dinner, which took place at a local restaurant.

Both the White House and Oracle denied McMaster made the comments.

“Actual participants in the dinner deny that General McMaster made any of the comments attributed to him by anonymous sources. Those false comments represent the diametric opposite of General McMaster’s actual views,” Michael Anton, spokesman for the National Security Council, told BuzzFeed.

Ken Glueck, Oracle’s senior vice president for government affairs, attended the July dinner with Catz and said the dinner meeting was about China. Glueck said “none of the statements attributed to General McMaster were said.”

Sources told BuzzFeed that McMaster didn’t only make derogatory comments about Trump, but also disparaged Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

McMaster reportedly said Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, shouldn’t be working in the White House and on national security issues.

McMaster isn’t the first administration official reported to have criticized Trump’s intelligence. Tillerson called the president a “moron” during a meeting at the Pentagon in July, NBC News reported. The State Department denied Tillerson made the remark.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., also told the New York Times that a group of senior administration officials work daily to try to “contain” Trump.

We are in the era of name calling still here, this time foreign leaders attackng one of the best people POTUS has surrounded himself with:

Trump’s North Korea Nobel buzz could die with John Bolton

Is Trump’s biggest obstacle to a deal with North Korea his own national security adviser?

    05/16/2018

Donald Trump wants a deal with North Korea. His national security adviser thinks the North Koreans can’t be dealt with. And North Korea thinks he’s “human scum.”
North Korea’s latest diatribe against the United States — and specifically a “repugnant” national security adviser, John Bolton — spotlights a core tension within the Trump administration as the president seeks a nuclear deal with North Korea that he hopes might earn him a Nobel Peace Prize.
