CBS Legal Exec: No Sympathy For Vegas ‘Because Country Music Fans Often Are Republican’

Media pro-dems bias no longer a news but this is still remarkable:

The CBS television network logo is seen outside their offices on 6th avenue in New York, U.S., May 19, 2016. Television journalist Morley Safer, who made his reputation as a Vietnam War correspondent for CBS and then became a mainstay on the network's "60 Minutes" show for 46 years, died at age 84 on Thursday, a few days after his retirement, the network announced.

A top legal executive at CBS, Hayley Geftman-Gold, said she “is not even sympathetic” for the victims of the shooting at a country music festival at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas Sunday night.
“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing,” wrote Geftman-Gold on Facebook, perhaps referring to Sandy Hook. “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans often are Republican gun toters.”

Later Monday, CBS announced that Geftman-Gold had been fired.

Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nev. opened fire on a crowd of 22,000 country music concert goers from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas late Sunday night. More than 50 people are dead, and 400 others were left injured after the shooting spree finally ended when the shooter turned the gun on himself.

“The gunfire began during a performance by the singer Jason Aldean, the closing act of the Route 91 Harvest Festival, according to Gail Davis, who was in the audience of more than 22,000,” reports The New York Times.

It's easier to fire a major network executive for an off color comment, than to fire a cop for murdering someone on video.
There are no crimes against people.
There are only crimes against the state.
And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.

Or than to fire/impeach a President accused of murdering/maiming thousands of children of color on drone videos.

But the CBS VP would have kept her job and kept on working her bias in CBS news transactions had she not becaome so overly bold/careless in posting her thoughts on internets. Less reckless execs with various gross biases still working in media.

    Very likely.

If media can absorb disgraced NYT Iraq war WMD yellow cake lies pusher Judith Miller, they can absorb anybody.

MSM LIES: Judith Miller of the New York Times was a key media operative used to sell the Iraq War to the public.

Out at NYT but sometime later Fox news owners nicely vetted her and gave her a media job to start BS cycle again.

Absolutely. And if her job's merely as a legal consultant, there are plenty of groups around to take on her expertise just for those opinions of her's. She belongs to a very insular elite, and she'll be taken in like an orphaned heiress, whenever she chooses to "work" again.

This old news showed up under related of another gun control news:

Casino mogul Adelson met with Trump hours after Las Vegas shooting

Pre-arranged meeting was to review policy, but also looked at ways to help victims of massacre

Casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson met Monday with US President Donald Trump in the White House, where they discussed how to help victims of a deadly shooting hours earlier at a Las Vegas country music festival that killed 59 people and injured hundreds.
The afternoon meeting had been scheduled before the shooting attack and was aimed at discussing policy, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Tuesday, citing a representative from the Sheldon’s Las Vegas Sands casino and resort company.

Adelson, who owns the Review-Journal, was one of Trump’s biggest financial backers during his successful 2016 presidential election campaign, donating millions to the Republican candidate’s cause. The two men both own casinos in Las Vegas.

Adelson is also a major backer of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and owns the widely circulated Israel Hayom free daily.
According to Sands representative Andy Abboud, Trump and Adelson discussed the shooting in Las Vegas the night before and how they might help victims, among other topics, the Review-Journal reported.
