As the FBI continues to sift through the past of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, an investigative focus has developed on how he earned money and the recent travels of Paddock and his girlfriend, Marilou Danley, law enforcement officials familiar with the probe told Yahoo.
At least two points of interest were recent trips taken to Dubai and Spain, as well as more than 200 reports detailing large financial transactions Paddock had made at casinos since 2014. Although Danley has family in Dubai, sources told Yahoo that the FBI is seeking to determine the details of all overseas trips involving either Paddock or his girlfriend, as well as any financial transactions that may have taken place on the trips.

As authorities search for a motive, Paddock’s finances have become a significant focal point — most notably, 200-plus casino or wire transactions by Paddock that were flagged for review by FinCEN, the U.S. government’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, which collects data to identify potential money laundering or covert terrorism financing. The FBI is also reviewing transactions by Danley that were flagged by FinCEN. According to a source familiar with the probe, the various transactions date back to 2014 and are being vigorously investigated. The sources said one transaction that has drawn significant attention is a $100,000 transfer to the Philippines by either Paddock or Danley prior to Sunday’s shooting. Danley was in the Philippines when Paddock opened fire on the crowd in Las Vegas.

The sources familiar with the investigation said the FBI and authorities are also following other potential leads, including a name on a batch of ammunition found in Paddock’s hotel room that did not match either Paddock or Danley. Authorities are also seeking to determine where and when Paddock purchased several pounds of ammonium nitrate and tannerite — which were among the explosive materials discovered in the hotel room, Paddock’s car and one of his homes. Both ammonium nitrate and tannerite can be ignited in a number of ways, including through the use of a detonator or being struck by a high-velocity projectile such as a bullet.

In the months before his deadly rampage, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock was a man “descending into madness,” according to a person briefed on new findings in the investigation.
More details are emerging, investigators say, that suggest Paddock’s mental state was deteriorating before the shooting — significant weight loss, an increasingly slovenly physical appearance and an obsession with his girlfriend’s ex-husband.

    Leaked photos? from: https://steemit.com/news/@libertyran...-the-number-13

What is wrong with these pictures?

I just want to present 4 pictures to you of Stephen Paddock
Two of him are the ones we have all been familiar with. It is the one of him drinking at the bar with his girlfriend.
Notice in both of these you can see a number "13" tattooed on his neck. The tattoo is just below his beard line and being there would cover his adams apple.

The other two are of his suicide leaked by someone on the Swat Breach team. Can you find the tattoo on the suicide pics?

One other question about the suicide pic. How is it that he appears to have a concentrate of blood on his chest and what appears, to me at least to be a bullet hole? A bullet hole well saturated with blood. Did he shoot himself in the chest before He blew his brains out? Anyway here are the photos for your own determination.

Please be sure to leave your explanation of how a tattoo can be seen in one set of pics and not the other please.

The Mandalay Bay server Tony Hernandez Armenta posted the receipts on Facebook.

Tony says Paddock had the room since September 25th not the 28th as was previously reported.

Tony says Paddock had the vista suite since last Monday the 25th and the connector room since Thursday the 28th.

The receipt says that the meal was for two people, but it's unclear if there actually was another person in the room.

Police previously said that Paddock used his girlfriend's ID when he checked in, so that could account for the count of people staying in the room.

This would also match the behavior of a man who suspected something and was dreadfully afraid. There's not just one answer here.

Why were most or all of those cartridges not fired?

Did he clean all the spent cartridges up, then manually unload a magazine onto the floor?

Seriously, the overwhelming majority of those aren't spent cartridges. They're live bullets. Did he not have all those magazines loaded in advance? Where are the spent cartridges?

The hotel security cameras are to protect the hotel- not the guests. Most are in lobbies and on the gaming floors- not hallways where the rooms are. There are fewer cameras than people might think.

    http://www.mercurynews.com/2013/10/1...-surveillance/

Few Vegas casinos have hotel surveillance

Las Vegas casinos — some of the most closely watched spaces in the world — don’t have video cameras in guest room hallways, an absence that hotel workers like Patrick, patrons and prosecutors say can act as a green light for crime.

Casino bosses say there is no need for extra security: America’s playground boasts more cameras per square foot than any airport or sports arena in the country, with thousands of high-tech lenses watching the gambling floors, lobbies and elevators.

All four major Strip casino operators, however, declined further comment.

Closed-circuit cameras hidden behind plastic ceiling domes are omnipresent in pop culture portrayals of Sin City. They play a pivotal role during the heist in 2001’s “Ocean’s Eleven” and in the reconstruction of a crazy night in the 2009 buddy comedy “The Hangover.”

Yet The Associated Press found that 23 of the 27 major Strip casinos have no surveillance in hotel hallways or elevator landings. All but four of the 27 hotels are owned by MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment Corp., Las Vegas Sands Corp. or Wynn Resorts Ltd.

The Associated Press arrived at the tally by interviewing casino officials and visiting the hotels that wouldn’t comment. Only Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, the MGM Grand and Tropicana Las Vegas monitor the halls above the gambling floor.

“People have a false sense of safety when they go to a casino,” security consultant Fred Del Marva said. “You think, ‘I’m going to Bellagio, they have 2,000 surveillance cameras, so I’m going to be safe.’ And you’re wrong. The level of security at the hotel level is zero.

They would have been in the lobby. Where's the check in with the luggage?

I don't believe there are not cameras all through the hotel. I have been in the security room of a hotel with low security and it was an elaborate set up. A Las Vegas hotel caters to high dollar gamblers and celebrities. There are cameras.

OK that's a definite change in the narrative. All the reporters digging around came up with nothing like that.
    * Enforce Border Security – America should be guarding her own borders and enforcing her own laws instead of policing the world and implementing UN mandates.

    * No Amnesty - The Obama Administration’s endorsement of so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, will only encourage more law-breaking.

    * Abolish the Welfare State – Taxpayers cannot continue to pay the high costs to sustain this powerful incentive for illegal immigration. As Milton Friedman famously said, you can’t have open borders and a welfare state.

    * End Birthright Citizenship – As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be granted U.S. citizenship, we’ll never be able to control our immigration problem.

Ok. At the beginning of the video, for maybe the first 2 minutes, the car is stationary. At :07, you hear faint shots. Listen to how loud the shots are at :11. Very loud. And then, right after that, you hear what sounds like an echo. Faint.

Then, at :52, a burst of faint gunfire. The official story is that there was 1 "gunman", right? does it really take 45 seconds for an echo? At :11, very loud gunfire, and what sounds like an echo. At :52 - with no moving - faint gunfire, followed by an equally faint echo. If the "gunshots" are coming from one place, and the camera, to this point, is in one place, how is it that the sounds at :11 are loud, and the sounds at :52 are faint? cabdriver at :56 "it sounds like it's coming from farther away".

This points to multiple "shooters" or noise sources. If one is loud and one is faint and the camera is the same, they're from different places.

1:14 - another burst of very loud "gunfire". Cabdriver starts to drive away right when the burst at 1:14 is taking place. :09 - loud + quiet echo. :52 quiet + quiet echo.
1:14 - loud + echo, and more loud + echo through 1:30, with the car moving.

Regarding the 4th floor disco, the car is moving, the disco flashing lights are not. That is not a reflection of anything. The light would move if it was a reflection because the car is moving.

We have an employee that has family in Vegas and heard yesterday that the relative was at the event (no specifics yesterday). This is what I learned today secondhand in an email. (I/we trust the source)

It was her oldest sister and her boyfriend who were at the concert in Vegas. A very terrifying experience. The boyfriend was shot through the arm and the bullet went into his thigh. She’s talked with her sister and her boyfriend is doing okay. The closest hospital was a private hospital and they wouldn’t keep him because of his insurance. (!) He was bandaged though and then had to wait until the next day to see his personal physician who could then refer him to a specialist.

Latest news says that the shooter killed himself shortly after the first security guard arrived at the room.

An unarmed security guard named Jesus Campos found shooter Stephen Paddock in his 32nd-floor suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday night. He drew Paddock’s fire away from concertgoers before police or a SWAT team arrived, according to a report from the Daily Beast.

Dave Hickey, president of the International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America, the union that represents Campos and hundreds of other Mandalay Bay security guards, said Paddock saw Campos approaching using hidden surveillance cameras he had planted behind the peephole on his door and in the hallway, and hit Campos in the right leg after firing through the door.

Since Paddock had blocked stairwell doors leading to the hallway outside his room, Campos had to use the elevator to try and find the shooter who was firing on the crowd below. When he tried to enter Paddock’s suite, Campos discovered that the door had been barricaded just before the bullets flew.

Campos, who had no firearm, radioed casino dispatch and communicated his location when he was hit. Additional security guards and police officers rushed to the scene and exchanged gunfire with Paddock. A SWAT team arrived approximately an hour after Paddock ceased firing. The team gained entry by using explosives to blow off the door and found the killer inside, dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Unarmed Security Guard Took On Las Vegas Killer Stephen Paddock

Jesus Campos found the mass murderer’s location — and drew his fire away from concertgoers — before cops or SWAT arrived.

LAS VEGAS — Jesus Campos had no firearm when he found Stephen Paddock and approached his room on the 32rd floor of Mandalay Bay on Sunday night.

Paddock, who had rigged cameras in the hallway and on the peephole of the door, saw Campos coming and fired through the door, hitting him in the leg, said Dave Hickey, president of the International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America. The union represents Campos and hundreds of security guards at Mandalay Bay.

When Campos was hit, he radioed casino dispatch and told him his location — and Paddock’s.
“We received information via their dispatch center...that helped us locate where this individual was sequestered,” Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters Tuesday.

Police officers who subsequently approached the room received gunfire and backed off until SWAT responded, Lombardo said.

“We would not have engaged this individual in the time lapse we did without their assistance,” Lombardo later added.

Paddock had somehow blocked stairwell doors leading to the hallway outside of his room, Hickey said, meaning Campos had to take the elevator on his quest to find the source of the gunfire that was killing dozens below. The door to the room itself was also barricaded, Campos found when he tried to open it, just before the bullets came through the door.

About an hour after Paddock quit firing, a SWAT team gained entry to the suite by blowing the doors off with explosives. Paddock was found dead inside from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Without Campos' action, the mass murderer’s rampage that killed 58 people could have been even more deadly.

How would we know it wasn't photoshopped?

Unless and until one does, no proof is no proof. And a lack of proof supports no position at all.

I reviewed the cabbie's video, and in that one the flashing and the sound seem to coincide. All other videos that show it don't show it flashing continuously. There are reports of multiple shooters, and even the dispatch recording includes a report by a police officer of a shooter on the ground near one of the gates, for what that's worth. A second shooter would certainly account for gunshot sounds occurring when the 'strobe' is not flashing.

The light does not seem to illuminate the room. Who brings a strobe to a dance party and sets it against the window, pointed out?

I'm not saying this is something. But I'm not ready to say there is proof it is nothing, either.

If it's a strobe, why does it look so much like a gun? It looks like a pinpoint of light. It's a pinpoint of light within the context of a larger window. If there was a strobe in a room, the entire window, or perhaps a series of windows would be flashing, not a flash the approximate size of a gun barrel.

Looking just at the flash, a reflection is more likely than a strobe in the room, but the flash doesn't change when the car is moving.
