    Exclamation Manly Tyranny

If we're doomed to live in a police/surveillance/warfare state, then, damn it, I want "manly tyranny".

Enough of pantsuited, post menopausal government lesbians, harridans and harpies, exhaling nauseating clouds of stifling Grundyism, and constant nagging, needling, and whining at us to eat our celery and wear a helmet while riding a bicycle.

No sir, let's have bold and courageous, manly tyranny, signified with marching troops and parading phalanxes of missile batteries and rocket launchers and tanks and jets flying over.

I mean, for $#@!'s sake, if the cheese eating surrender monkeys in Paris can do it, we can do it ten times better!

    Murica!

Trump says he wants a massive military parade down Pennsylvania Avenue on July 4

President Trump's trip to France for the country's Bastille Day parade in July left a big impression. So big, in fact, that he wants to replicate the experience back home.

As Trump met Monday with French President Emmanuel Macron, the commander in chief gushed about seeing France's military might on display in the streets of Paris during his visit. And he told reporters he is looking into the possibility of having a parade down the streets of Washington on Independence Day to show the United States' “military strength.”

“I was your guest at Bastille Day, and it was one of the greatest parades I've ever seen,” Trump told Macron, who sat next to him. “It was two hours on the button, and it was military might and, I think, a tremendous thing for France and the spirit of France.”

“To a large extent because of what I witnessed, we may do something like that on July Fourth in Washington down Pennsylvania Avenue,” Trump said.

The comments prompted laughter from Macron and other officials sitting around them. The leaders were meeting in New York ahead of the United Nations General Assembly. But it wasn't the first time Trump has talked about wanting a military parade in the streets of Washington.
“It is not true that all creeds and cultures are equally assimilable in a First World nation born of England, Christianity, and Western civilization. Race, faith, ethnicity and history leave genetic fingerprints no ‘proposition nation’ can erase." -- Pat Buchanan

    Donald Trump considering military parade
    for Fourth of July

Donald Trump is considering staging a US military parade in Washington on the Fourth of July Independence Day holiday, inspired by the parade he saw on Bastille Day in Paris.
Meeting France’s President Emmanuel Macron on the fringes of the UN general assembly, Trump said he had asked his White House chief of staff, retired Marine Corps general John Kelly, to look into the possibility of holding such a display of US military might.
Trump said he marvelled at the French parade that he saw with Macron on France’s 14 July national holiday.
In typical Trump fashion, the president said he wants the parade to be bigger and better than the one he saw in France.

I'm glad we don't live in the British Empire, bad as much of our history has been we are better off than we would have been if we hadn't left it.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/senate-po...080106923.html

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate has overwhelmingly approved a sweeping defense policy bill that would pump $700 billion into the military, putting the U.S. armed forces on track for a budget greater than at any time during the decade-plus wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have the Bill of rights, Brits don't, Canadians don't, Aussies don't.

Living in America is far better than it would have been without the war for independence, so I will celebrate that.

Yes, that Bill of Rights does you a lot of good. That still doesn't mean you have gained independence. You just gained a new master. If you feel like celebrating that, call it "I Like My New Owner Better Day". Not "Independence Day".
