For every Ron Paul there is 10,000 Mitt Romney's( every congressman throughout the last 80 years).

For every Vince Vaughn there is 10 Kayne Wests.

Maybe a leftist nonpolitician will stop wars or and a conservative nonpokitician will protect gun rights. At least we know they are trying on that issue. We also have more libertarians to choose from unlike only voting for Ron and Rand.
We most certainly don't know that.

A "non-politician" is not more likely to be sincere.

The ethnic nationalist who wants a linguistically and culturally uniform nation is akin to the racist who is intolerant toward those who look (and behave) differently. The patriot is a "diversitarian"; he is pleased, indeed proud of the variety within the borders of his country; he looks for loyalty from all citizens. And he looks up and down, not left and right."

voluntary term limits aren't term limits at all, they are just deciding not to run again.

Career politicians are mostly lawyers and they are the reason we have thousands of regulations and high taxes. The nonpoliticians aren't going to enact all these regulations. Instead they are going to write simple laws as that would be all they know how to do.

BTW, did George Bush jr, George Bush sr, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and even Ronald Reagan(former governor) etc ever issue large numbers of executive orders to limit government?

So they don't really want to limit their own terms.
"The only thing we have to fear is.... fear itself!" Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
"Be afwaid. Be berry afwaid" Donald Trump.

The optimists built this country and made it great- not the fearful. Fear can only destroy.

I am Zippy and I approve of this post. But you don't have to.

I'd say you are putting the wheel before the horse. You really think that the IRS will be abolished with career politicians who are lawyers even tax lawyers in Congress(the vast majority of them are?
