Default The goal of our government

    To subjugate the entire planet.

    Can somebody disprove this clam?

    Isn't this a little too ambitious/expensive?
The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.

Not if they can make us and the conquered pay for it, but so far they don't seem to be good enough at feeding the dairy herd or harvesting the wild game to sustain the empire.

There's a quote from Washington to his portrait painter, where he basically says "... the happiness of the people... is the end of government." We know what "end" he's talking about: he's talking about the goal, but wouldn't it be awesome if - bear with me - if he meant the happiness of the people is the END of government? Washington was closer to the truth than he knew, and in all fairness I don't see a contradiction in terms, when I say our first President, paradoxically limited by his understanding, had grasped a truth...

If freedom isn't free, it isn't liberty - its license.

    You must understand

    will in future leave
    The Night will come
    I give you your heritage
    If you want
    it will not leave

    Remember, do not take

The goal of every government is to grow. It has no amibitions beyond that. What will the dog do when it finally catches the car? Probably use it to chase the next car.

All modern revolutions have ended in a reinforcement of the power of the State.

Governments consist of people w/ goals, agendas, and personal ambitions.
If freedom isn't free, it isn't liberty - its license.

Yep. And the way to achieve those goals, agendas, and ambitions is to gain more power for the government in which they operate. Tools of the beast.
