Kind of interesting. Seems like if any liberty person should run it seems like Amash would be better fit at least in the next cycle or two.

All three Amigos should run. That would give consensus during debates, several voices for liberty, so that labels such as "quixotic" could not be used. Then, depending on who was leading, the other two could throw their support to the leader.

I would be all for him winning, but what would be his base of support? Rand reached out to lots of groups, good educational effort but didn't get him the votes from the Republicans who turn out every cycle and decide the nominee.

Rand Paul had the rest of the Republican party running against him, literally. He went to war with the GOP and he said he would pick his battle. Rand got his political fame by bringing people into the Republican party, that's just phase 1 of political revolution, having people in place that understand limited government, that understand the political processes. Step two is political consensus, and now

Rand is trying to build off of the Trump campaign by appearing to give Trump a chance, and supporting him on policies that are red meat to the base. the white house made threatening phone calls to Rand Paul to give him political pressure and the MSM reported on it

Rand Paul with the worst poker face ever claims its because Trump agrees with him because he wants to do what he campaigned on, he doesn't say anything specific, just that Trump wants to do what he campaigned on, something any Trump supporter wouldn't be mad at, and at the same time spun the heat on him into him being Trumps ally in the senate and in the hearts of Trump supporters everywhere.

Rand then went on to campaign on liberty principles and attribute them to Trump, in order to pressure Trump supporters into pressuring Trump to do the right things, running digital campaigns Rand is trying to make liberty go viral, he wants to win the war.

"Each of us must choose which course of action we should take: education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes. But let it not be said that we did nothing." - Ron Paul

"Paul said "the wave of the future" is a coalition of anti-authoritarian progressive Democrats and libertarian Republicans in Congress opposed to domestic surveillance, opposed to starting new wars and in favor of ending the so-called War on Drugs."
