eclipse flummoxes members of the Flat Earth community

    https://www.coasttocoastam.com/artic...at-earth-fans/

Today's long-awaited total solar eclipse crossingover the United States is being met with consternation from FlatEarth enthusiasts who aren't quite sure how such an event ispossible.
Anenlightening survey of Flat Earth community members by the PhillyVoice reveals that researchers of thecontroversial conspiracy theory can't seem to explain how thehighly-anticipated event fits into their cosmological world view.
Amongthe most prevalent theories offered by Flat Earthers is that thereare heretofore undiscovered 'invisible celestial bodies,' describedin Vedic astrology, that somehow cause the eclipse to occur.
But thatis a contentious concept which is hotly debated by researchers andother, less esoteric yet still rather arcane, reasons for the eclipsehave been bandied about online as well.
With noconsensus among the conspiracy theorists, the eclipse has caused manyresearchers to simply throw up their hands in confusion over thebreathtaking event.
Onemember of the Flat Earth community told the website, "I findthis eclipse topic so complex and very speculative. I think it isbest left alone for now."
Anotherresearcher conceded that "I'm honestly not sure what I thinkcreates the eclipse or what it means."
Showingjust how difficult explaining the event in terms of the conspiracytheory is, yet another person who advocates for the concept musedthat, "we have to have something rise that causes eclipses inthe flat-earth model. We think it's not necessarily caused by themoon, though it could be."
Compoundingthe confusion is that the nature of the moon, itself, appears to beup for debate in the Flat Earth community as one person shockinglyremarked, "I really, really don't know what the moon is."
Despiteall of this uncertainty surrounding the eclipse, Flat Earthaficionados hope that it will somehow provide evidence which willstrengthen their case and some research groups are actually launchingballoons during the event to capture this potential data.
Additionally, taking advantage of the excitement surrounding the eclipse, an OregonFlat Earth research group has purchased a billboard in the statecapital of Salem, where thousands of visitors will be flocking for aview of the event.
As inthe past, the billboard buyers hope that the signage imploring peopleto examine the beleaguered conspiracy theory will resonate with the'eclipse tourists' who will be passing through the city during theevent.
So whilethey may not be able to all agree on how an eclipse happens, the FlatEarth community remains committed to their cause and aim to use theevent to further spread the word about the odd concept.
And,with the next total solar eclipse due to pass over the United Statesin just six years, perhaps researchers can spend the time until thencoming up with a theory that works within their world view and thusavoid all the confusion plaguing the community today.
Figuringout what the moon is might be a good place to start.

We've never had an eclipse before?

I'll bet they are really scratching their heads at how precisely the event was able to be predicted.

    Lunar Eclipse causes: https://www.flat-earth-moon-phases.c...-lunar-eclipse

The Lunar 'eclipse' happens at night. When it happens, the moon turns orange in color.

This is caused when the Sun and Moon line up with the center of the disk earth.

The Sunlight goes through the strong magnetic field of the north pole, and the sunlight turns orange. And that light then hits the moon.

Since the sunlight is orange, it makes the moon appear orange as in this image-

The Moon must be at same altitude as the Sun in order for this to happen. That's why it doesn't happen very often, and is a rare event.

Thus, as you can see- the phenomenon of the 'orange moon' is not an eclipse at all, but is caused by the North Pole's magnetic field.

Can you verify there are any real people associated with this movement?

Well, I've talked to people who I know weren't bots who professed this belief. Whether they were themselves just doing some very elaborate trolling, I don't know. Poe's Law comes into effect there.

    Such a bull$#@! article.

Just because there's eclipses doesn't mean the earth isn't flat.
