I clearly remember the day I realized the stereotypes about Asian women drivers were based in reality. I was driving my F-150 full size van through a residential neighborhood. A woman slowly backed out of her driveway, right in front of me. I stopped. So did she. But not because she saw me. She just backed out, not cutting her wheels... just sat perpendicular in the middle of road, talking on the phone. I was annoyed but amused so I just started inching my big van up to her car. She didn't notice. I got so close I was afraid to get closer. So I just sat there.
She jumped about a foot in the air when she finally glanced at her passenger window and saw my grill.
