    Ummmm,

We'll give you all the cedar trees you want, no need to buy 'em...

Just come to the Ozarks with your spade and a truck..............Hell! Bring your friends and some semi-trucks, we've got almost as many cedar trees as we do rocks.

But never use eastern red cedars (Juniperus virginiana) if you have apple trees (or crabapples, quince or hawthorns) around, because it will cause your trees to develop cedar-apple rust every single summer. It looks ugly (orange spots) and then makes the leaves fall off.

They're not true cedars, they're junipers, so you wouldn't want to use junipers. Thujas would be okay.

Ceders are pretty when it snows. Especially when they're full of Blue Jays and Cardinals.

    FYI, they're highly flammable.

Cedars popped up spontaneously after clearing land over last 10 years - orioles and others spread seeds easy.

and I do have a bad tick problem now - I never knew of the connection.
