When Governor Chris Sununu ran in the Republican primary, he promised to sign cannabis decriminalization into law if it reached his desk. Not only did he sign it, he lobbied the NH Senate Republicans to push his agenda, and sure enough, a majority of Republicans in the Senate agreed. Not only did he sign HB 640 into law, he signed all 3 medical cannabis bills into law. Now 100,000s of additional people qualify for medical cannabis in NH. Thank you Governor Sununu.

Here is what the New England head of the MPP had to say about the news.
“The governor deserves credit for his steadfast support of this commonsense reform,” said Matt Simon, political director for the Marijuana Policy Project. “Unlike his predecessors, who opposed similar proposals, Gov. Sununu appears to understand that ‘Live Free or Die’ is more than just a motto on a license plate.”
