What was eating out at 80s KFC like?

Were the portions 33% breading or what?

Yeah, more greasy skin, and it tasted better. (I wouldn't say 33%, though. ) They used the proper Colonel's recipe back then.

It is mostly just skin today that you have to rip off.

O rlly? I haven't had it in years, so IDK.The last time I did have it tho, it tasted weird-I think they changed the recipe to something cheaper.

Yes, about 8 years ago they removed trans-fats. Hasn't tasted as good since

I traveled south a few times and ate at a fast food chicken place called BoJangles a few times. I think their chicken is way better than KFC.

The skin was the best part back then.. I dunno, I haven't really eaten there in years and if I did I don't think I got bone-in chicken.

The skin is the best part except when eating it makes you feel full.

Really? Mostly skin now? How the hell do u make chicken to have more skin today? and how do you know it hasnt always been this way since the 80s, arent you only like 16yrs old?

I think the only thing KFC changed is the oil they use in frying their chicken. Everything else is supossedly the same. The difference in size you see could be because of the change in your own perception. The same way I used to think big macs used to be bigger in the 2000s when in reality its just by hands and mouth getting bigger 😂

But that's where the 11 herbs and spices are located. You might as well just buy chicken without the Colonels Secret Recipe.

You said its mostly skin today as compared to what? The inference I got from your post is that KFC chickens today have more skin than some other time in the past when it had less skin.

If I misread your post then I apologize.

I meant the breading that covers the portions.

I think the greasiest chicken I ever saw in the 80's came from a place called Jack in the Box or something like that .

80's gravy is much better than the substance they sling now. I do prefer KFC to Bojangles, but only the original recipe.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

This^^IDK why you'd go to KFC at all if you don't like the skin...

I eat all of the skin of a quarter of the portions of the 12 piece. Then I rip off the skin of the other 1/4 and eat the meat and gristle so I don't feel overly groggy. Then I eat the skins later.
