China Joins Russia In Calling For Official Probe Into Use Of Chemical Weapons In Syria

If there was any confusion whether in addition to Moscow, Beijing was also behind Assad,
today all doubts were laid to rest when both Russia and China called on all involved parties
"to support the efforts of the OPCW and the United Nations in investigating the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria,"
according to a joint statement by Russian and Chinese leaders on the current international situation.

Additionally, in the document Russia and China both "strongly condemn any use of chemical weapons anywhere and by anyone."

This won't dissuade the Neoconners at all. If they tell trump they want regime change, then by god regime change it will be. Mattis is leading the neocon charge. Hell there's even talk in some circles that Mattis is working against trump purposefully...
There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

‘Many gaps & omissions’ plague chemical watchdog’s Idlib incident report – Russian OPCW rep to RT

"The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) fact finding mission has failed to meet even the basic procedures of an investigation..."

The OPCW report on April’s chemical incident in Syria’s Idlib province was presented last Friday despite being inconclusive and lacking evidence.

    CHAIN OF CUSTODY BROKEN

The most glaring problem with the report, according to Shulgin, is the fact that the mission never actually visited the site of the alleged attack and collected all the evidence from the militant groups themselves.

The fact-finding mission has not visited either Khan Shaykhun, the alleged place of the usage of the chemical weapons, nor Shayrat Air Base.

“There are many omissions or gaps in the text of the report itself. We pointed out to some of them, the experts admitted they did not implement entirely a chain of custody, a basic procedure established by the organization to collect samples to ensure their custody,” Shulgin told RT.

“In other words we don’t know exactly where the bodies had been recovered, where the evidence had been collected, who had custody of [this evidence]. The second point, very important point, the team was unable to establish what actually had happened in Khan Shaykhun… whether it was dispersion or explosion, what kind of explosion, aerial or on the ground it’s absolutely not established.”
