JEREMY CORBYN has demanded an investigation into claims that SAS soldiers killed unarmed Afghan civilians – and then covered it up.
Royal Military Police investigators said there was “strong evidence” they killed rather than captured the civilians during night raid on their homes.
The Sunday Times said the claims were supported by drone film, and bullets retrieved from the bodies were a type used by the SAS.
The Labour leader has called for an independent inquiry to find out what happened, amid fears the reputation of the army will be undermined.
He said: “The allegations of unlawful killings and war crimes in Afghanistan are extremely serious and must be fully investigated.
