New Poll Shows Majority Of Americans Think Russia Probes Are "A Distraction"

Last month, we reported on a poll showing most Americans don’t want to see President Donald Trump impeached. Today, a new poll released exclusively to the Hill shows that most Americans feel the investigations into alleged collusion between Russian officials and the Trump campaign are a distraction.
The poll found that 64% of Americans believe the investigations are hurting the country, and a whopping 73% believe that the focus on Russia is distracting Congress from important issues like health care and tax reform.

Poll finds growing opposition to GOP healthcare bill

An increasing number of people are opposed to the House Republicans' healthcare bill, according to a new poll.

A Politico/Morning Consult poll finds just 35 percent of voters approve of the American Health Care Act, passed earlier this year, compared to 49 percent of voters who disapprove of the legislation.

Shortly after the House passed the bill, 38 percent of voters approved of it and 44 percent opposed it.
(there is no current tax reform bill aside from proposed changes within the health care bill)

Poll: ObamaCare more popular than House GOP healthcare bill

The Affordable Care Act is significantly more popular than the House GOP plan to repeal and replace the law, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

The survey, released Thursday as Senate Republicans unveiled a draft of their own healthcare reform legislation, found that 41 percent of Americans say ObamaCare is a good idea while 38 percent say it is a bad idea.

By comparison, just 16 percent said they see the House GOP plan as a good idea — a 7-point drop from the 23 percent approval it had shortly after it was passed in April.

That's nice and all but it seems that the media is failing to make Americans believe in the Russian boogie man. I'm wondering if we're going to see even more facebook memes, forum threads, and other internet activity to change the way people think in this country, or will media move on to a different made up scandal?

But other surveys have found strong support for the special counsel investigating the Russia probe. A Harvard-Harris survey released last month found 75 percent support for former FBI Director Robert Mueller’s investigation.

There is evidence in the Harvard-Harris survey that voters are taking the investigations seriously: Fifty-eight percent say they’re concerned by allegations of obstruction of justice against Trump, with the same number worried about possible dealings between Trump and the Russian government.

Yes, it was completely an intentional distraction (Flynn even basically stated as much right after he was targeted....said someone had to be the fall guy) but this strikes me as a manufactured poll so that CNN, et al can pivot over to other things like how Trump will support the Congressional bill enacting sanctions against Russia and Iran. Can't very well dump on Trump about Russia one moment then laud his supporting a bill that is essentially an act of war against Russia then next moment.

Remember how CNN was bff with Trump for a minute after the Tomahawk incident in Syria? They'll be super-bff after Trump signs that bill.
