Had 90% vinyl. Left 'em for safe keeping with a friend that wasn't able to keep them safe. I've moved beyond it, more than a decade ago. But, damn I liked my collection.

Both good ones. I've heard an interview with Dickie Bettes were he said he hated "Rambling Man" got so much airplay. Not that it was a bad song. Just that it was such a minor one on the whole. Dickie Bettes stepped up and filled in for Greg's brother Duane. Had he not the band would have splintered. But Greg's voice is the voice of the Allman Brothers.

Greg wasn't just a vocalist. He could hammer a Hammond or any piano...

I think the Allmans went to Castle Heights (military academy) when they were living in Middle Tennessee.

    RIP

I was suppose to go to Gregg Allman's Laid Back Festival last summer but it got postponed and I couldn't do the make up date. I'm so bummed I missed my chance.

A surprising number of early rock stars were the children of American military elite. There is a pretty strong case for "controlled opposition" if you go for a historic trip through Laurel Canyon.

    Gulf of Tonkin anyone?
Jim Morrison (singer of the Doors) had a father who was an Admiral in the U.S. Navy.

I was a few years too late, didn't almost everyone share back then?
