    Ive always liked oatmeal so I eat it whenever I want, especially nowadays since its one of the few healthy foods that taste good to me.

    I use steel cut or rolled oats I never really cook them I just pour boiling water over them and let them sit for a minute and then eat them.

    Not a lot of those vitamins. Less than one percent of daily recommended Vitamin K, and Vitamin E. About 3.5% of RDA for folate, niacin (meaning you need about 30 servings a day to get them all from oatmeal). If it is fortified it may have up to 15% of RDA for thiamine and ribovlavin.     Daily mornings, I do about 2/3 cup oats, a little cinnamon, molasses, and a little boiled water. Gets me through from a little before sunrise to about 10-11 a.m.
    My body loves it. Oatmeal is easy to shovel in and get on with the day. About 5 years using it daily now, and I do a lot better with it than without it.

    For myself and wifey, when the morning oatmeal wears off, we get hungry immediately. Other types of breakfast really don't have that effect on us -more of a taper to it.

    I eat oatmeal almost every morning too. The kind you cook on the stove. Usually with fresh fruit or whatever toppings I have on hand.

    My breakfast the other day. (before I added almond milk)

    In a large sauce pan add;

    2C sugar
    1 stick butter
    3Tbsp (heaping) Nestles Quick
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2C milk

    Bring to a rolling boil for 60 seconds and then stir in;

    1/2C crunchy peanut butter
    1 Tbsp vanilla extract

    Stir until dissolved then add;

    3C Quick oats

    Drop hot mixture on wax paper and enjoy oats that actually taste good....
