Kushner Personally Negotiated MIC/Saud Arms Deal

    Damien strikes again.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/18/w...=top-news&_r=1

Mr. Kushner was referring to a $100 billion-plus arms deal that the administration hoped to seal with Saudi Arabia in time to announce it during Mr. Trump’s visit to the kingdom this weekend. The two sides discussed a shopping list that included planes, ships and precision-guided bombs. Then an American official raised the idea of the Saudis’ buying a sophisticated radar system designed to shoot down ballistic missiles.

Sensing that the cost might be a problem, several administration officials said, Mr. Kushner picked up the phone and called Marillyn A. Hewson — the chief executive of Lockheed Martin, which makes the radar system — and asked her whether she could cut the price. As his guests watched slack-jawed, Ms. Hewson told him she would look into it, officials said.

Mr. Kushner’s personal intervention in the arms sale is further evidence of the Trump White House’s readiness to dispense with custom in favor of informal, hands-on deal making. It also offers a window into how the administration hopes to change America’s position in the Middle East, emphasizing hard power and haggling over traditional diplomacy.

This smells bad, he should be taken out of all government business deals. Not because his dad was prosecuted for financial fraud but because there is serious conflict of interest.
If must serve public with his talents, perhaps assign him to department of parks and recreation or any other area not involving major financial deals.

Trump to Announce $350 Billion Arms Deal During Saudi Arabia Visit

Trump to Announce $350 Billion Arms Deal During Saudi Arabia Visit:

White House Will Present Sale as Targeting Iran

Over the past few weeks there’ve been multiple reports of President Trump planning to unveil a massive arms sale to Saudi Arabia during his Riyadh visit, and the figures have kept rising. What was $100 billion earlier this week is now, according to the most recent reports $350 billion.

That would make it one of the largest arms deals in US history, and realistically in world history, and indications are that President Trump intends to present this as part of the push for the creation of “Arab NATO,” and by extension make it about Sunni Arabs confronting Iran.

This single deal would dwarf President Obama’s arms deals throughout his entire term in office, which are estimated at $200 billion, and are themselves the biggest amount of arms sales by any administration in the post war era. Saudi Arabia was a large buyer then, as well.

With Saudi Arabia locked in a seemingly endless war in Yemen, they’re going to continue to throw money at more costly US munitions and weaponry in hopes of winning what they thought would be a simple war, and all indications are that the current administration will be just as eager as the last one to sign off on them.

He should get this deal signed quickly. If Syria war bloodbath slowed in time ahead, they might not be as willing to infuse such big sum of cash into US economy.

Someone so close to Netanyahu should not be negotiating massive arms deals with Saudi Arabia. If the press was doing their job, this would be a huge story. Putin paranoia reigns supreme, but not even a peep about the Benji-Jared lovefest.

To be fair, the press has higher obligation to hold Trump accountable for putting Israeli ISIS spies lives in danger with his big mouth diplomatic discussions with Russian Forieign Minister and informing them about ISIS terrorism plans.
This B-J lovefest is no big deal, you should not have made this comment and press would be wise to keep it in the dark.

The Saudis will use these weapons for self-defense and if they give them out to other groups in the region, they will only go to groups who are committed to defeating ISIS.

At least he did not bow to the king like Clinton would have done. Instead he just gave them what they were looking for to continue to fund radical Islamic groups and destroy secular govts in the Middle East.

Imagine the shame to our country had Hillary been photographed with a scarf over her head while visiting this monstrous Wahhabi dictatorship?

Well, that's simply because of (((who))) owns and controls the media (press & teevee). They aren't going to alert on their own agenda.

    Interesting,,

Wahhabi Zionist alliance,, against the last remaining independent secular States in the region.
    And we are involved.

    This will not be good.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Would we prefer that they buy weaponry from Germany, France, Russia, or China?
Out of every one hundred men they send us, ten should not even be here. Eighty will do nothing but serve as targets for the enemy. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, upon them depends our success in battle. But one, ah the one, he is a real warrior, and he will bring the others back from battle alive.

Considering the position of blowback- where do you prefer the blowback to be aimed towards?

Hopefully when the next Saudi sponsored 9/11 happens, the Iranians won't hold a candle-vigil and will hold a 'told-ya-so' celebration with pistachios.
