after some time for reflection, she seemed willing to forgive Massie’s inappropriate reply,
“Between you and me, I never wanted the guy at the baby shower anyway,
    I was just hoping he’d send a gift, he’s a congressman and I need a stroller.”

Rep. Thomas Massie In Trouble After Replying “Hell No” To Baby Shower Invitation
He said "hell no" to a baby shower invitation..?? That's really actually pretty rude... I expect better from Massie.

    Not cool.

I've been thinking about the proliferation of satire sites recently.
    I think it's fantastic.
It serves two really long overdue purposes.

    1) It points out pretty quickly who the $#@!ing idiots in your life are.

    2) After enough times getting outed, those idiots might start to cast a critical eye on the stuff they read, and that habit will carry over to the big fake news sites like CNN, HuffPo, Fox, MSNBC, etc... where this is really most needed.

And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.

    Thanks, didn't catch that.

I have a hard time picking up sarcasm sometimes.

Uhh... I knew that it was a satire site when I posted it. That was the point.

Probably should have clarified that in the OP. The site and the article content certainly looks real.

I could see how someone could get confused.

Uhh... I wasn't thinking of you, or anyone else on this site, but if you want to take offense to it, go right ahead.

haha You thought it was too funny didn't you? Unless this is a defend your man thing with Matt Collins. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I think it was photoshopped. Why would Massie be holding that up in what looks like an official somewhere in Washington? Fake news sight at the top gives it away.
