IONIA, MI - U.S. Rep Justin Amash is heading to Ionia on Saturday, March 4 for his fifth town hall of the year, held at Ionia Middle School at 11 a.m.

The four-term congressman's first two town halls of the year, both held in Grand Rapids, were overflowing with eager constituents. Many were turned away at the door when the respective venues reached capacity, prompting Amash, R-Cascade Township, to hold more events.

His third town hall was held in Battle Creek, and his fourth in Hastings.

Amash stresses the importance of holding regular, in-person meetings with his constituents, which is something that is not done by many of his colleagues in Congress.

Amash represents Michigan's 3rd congressional district, which covers Cedar Springs in the north and stretches south of Marshall, covering Battle Creek, Grand Rapids and Ionia in all or portions of Ionia, Kent, Barry, Calhoun and Montcalm counties.

Live updates from today's town hall event will be provided in the comment section of this post.
