    Peace is boring.

Because it would be unconstitutional and not in the enumerated powers. Ron Paul would have voted against it. Just another unconstitutional federal bureaucracy that would eat up the budget.

Can't support more federal agencies just because of a name...

There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

Simply rename the Department of State with the prime directive being....

“Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

I can certainly live with THAT!

Heck, I'd be somewhat happier if we renamed the DoD back to the War Department...

    +1

Anything else is a bad idea, Government should have very little to do during peacetime, and I have never liked the idea of calling law enforcement "Peace Officers"

    The notion is mongo-dongo FAIL.

Why? Because the very notion of a department has had the effect of pawning personal responsibility off onto the shoulders of others under some false justification relating to division of labor.

While it is theoretically plausible for people to have specialists doing such jobs with the average man retaining a major share of responsibility for his own interests in a given vein of consideration, in the real world people become lazy feces and come to rely solely on the specialists. Welcome to the 21st century American police state.

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.

It appears that artificial intelligence is at least slightly superior to natural stupidity.

Our words make us the ghosts that we are.

Convincing the world he didn't exist was the Devil's second greatest trick; the first was convincing us that God didn't exist.
